I wasn't judging Molly so please don't jump down my throat it's up to her what she buys, it was just a comment and just because something is second hand doesn't mean it's not cruelty free.
The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield is my perfect autumn book. Set in the moors of England, it is a gothic novel about all things bookish and literary that truly changed my reading life when I first read it. Highly highly recommend!
My Great Grandparents immigranted from Scotland to New England. We grew up in the house he bought. I can see why he had apple trees pine trees weeping willows blackberry bushes daffodils and oak trees. It reminded him of his beloved Scotland.
I absolutely adore Wuthering Heights and am lucky I suppose that I leave near Haworth and visit regularly, just last weekend myself and hubby walked up to Top Withens, the moors are a sea of purple heather just now and in the heat it smelt like honey. It was glorious up at the farmhouse, we'd taken lunch and just lay in the heather. A walk back into Haworth for a cup of Yorkshire tea on the cobbles watching the world go by - perfect.
The idea of Autumn is my favorite time of year also. Sadly, it's going to be 90 degrees here in Southern California this weekend so the sweaters will have to wait😞
Thank you Molly. I always look forward to your videos on Sundays. Our favorite seasons are Autumn and Winter. Love the colors, the smells and the cool air. Nothing like being cozy.💕
I hope you realise how highly happy you are with the life you have in one of the most stunning beautiful place, far of the madding crowd! And with most wonderful companion- your dog! ❤❤❤
I love your new sweaters! The cream knit is so cute on you, and looks so cozy. I get so cold in the winter and rely on wool as well. Very hot here now 35C today. Looking forward to the cooler temps and colors of autumn.
Hello Molly. Autumn is also my favourite season. I feel I can breathe better and it's a cosy time with comfort food, warm drinks and candles ❤. Have a beautiful week
Great vlog as always, rather fancy a couple of the books too! I’ve never sorted my clothes for the seasons, but sounds like a great idea, only trouble is we’ve just gone into a mini heatwave here in the south of England, but it won’t last and I love autumn and winter and the whole cosy vibe of it. Thanks for sharing, take care x
I love your idea for planning for the season but I'm trying to reduce my screentime. Would you consider creating a paper based slow living planner? I'd buy it!
Loved the Etsy prints and the idea of placing sweet autumnal touches around your tiny house. I’m going to do that, as the only time I’ve done seasonal is at Thanksgiving ( a holiday here in America) and Christmas. Twill be fun!
Another awesome video from Molly. It's been beautiful sunshine 🌞 in the last few days so its quiet warm so still having summer weather in the north east of Scotland. Have a good Sunday evening and week ahead. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕Molly.
I need to plan a trip to Scotland ❤. Just finished a book called Rose and Snow. It's cover drew me in. Granted it's for the younger crowd, but I loved it. Reading to my children next.
I love these months, my favourite time if the year too… when everything goes to bed to rest. Also Wuthering Heights is also my favourite book …I keep a copy beside my bed to pick up whenever. I just dive in wherever. ☺️
Is headed into spring down here (NZ), although our daffodils and snowbells have been out since late July/early Aug (quite strange bulbs).. so looking forward to the lighter evenings, and to wearing the Wild Soul t-shirt in the olive green I got from your store
Hi Molly was talking about bobbling on jumpers etc, and now I wash all my clothes inside out and delicate items hand wash and drip dry hope that help take care
Great video - bringing on all my cosy autumn vibes (the best time of the year). It was 27 degrees in Suffolk today and is meant to reach 30 degrees tomorrow! I re-read Wuthering Heights this year (some 40 years after my first reading) and absolutely loved it.
Just as our first heatwave of the year is starting here in Brittany, we were surprised from our morning tea in bed by the neighbours' family going up the road chattering and squeaking with excitement, the little girl in a pretty new pinafore, heading off for school for the first day of the rentrée! This is our cue to go on holiday, just a few miles away up on the Bay of Mont St Michel, I love our September trips, and the knowledge of autumn coming. I've been rereading Rose Tremayne's two Robert Merivel novels (Restoration and Merivel), which I love. They are perhaps more appropriate for a later stage of life, very poignant and wry and funny and touching and sometimes naughty, and very much about time and ageing and loss, and maybe not a historical period that appeals to you, but I think you might like her book 'Music and Silence' very much, if you don't know it already. You prompted me to read Wuthering Heights again, after probably 40 years. Still not sure what I think ... I enjoyed it anyway!
Like you I love autumn. I’m looking forward to walking my little cavalier King Charles in the woods near where I live. They are all deciduous, so the colours are amazing. Tend to lose the dog as he’s a ruby cavalier….. I’m still reading regeneration, thanks for your recommendation. Thoroughly enjoying it.
Lovely video Molly especially the beginning with you outside holding the golden leaf then bringing the autumn in. We are having a very warm week and this evening it seemed to stay warm which is unusual for the highlands. I too have been making a start on going through my wardrobe. I am reading 'Tom's Midnight Garden' and will be starting 'Goodbye Mr Chips' which I am interested to read, it is a very slim book. Have a great week!
How jealous I am that you have such wonderful cool autumnal weather nibbling at your nose while we have the stifling suffocating heat resting upon us like a heated blanket that’s been left on. Can you send some of that towards the U.S.? I hope that you are having a wonderful week so far and that your weekend is full of nice cool weather. Do you ever go and stay at one of the bothies; is that what they are called… little hikers huts along trail routes that people can take shelter in)?
Thank you for inspiring my fall reset! My closet is now ready for the coming colder weather and things are now much tidier. As always, I love your seasonal reading list and book recommendations!
As an autumn lover I was sooo looking forward to my wardrobe switch - but here in South Wales we suddenly have hot, clear days again. I shall try to enjoy this late summer but was a teeny bit jealous seeing you in a raincoat on your walk 😂
I love Wintering by Katherine May Probably for your Winter list☺️ And the vegans I know will wear wool b/c it doesn’t harm the animals. Love your channel
That's not always true. Plus, many vegans see animals as being here on earth WITH us, not FOR us. The vegans you know might be happy with wool, but they are more likely plant-based, rather than embracing a fully vegan lifestyle, which eschews all animal-based products.
My last 3 reads were pretty good -The Moonlight Child by Karen McQuestion ,The Collected Regrets Of Clover by Mikki Brammer, Pretty Things by Janelle Brown ... I took screenshots of some of your recommendations too . Thank you 📚 😊💫
Hey Molly, just wanted to say I'm currently reading Sunrise by the sea by Jenny Colgan (fitting for the current heatwave) because of your previous recommendation, and I am loving it!! Also, because of your love affair with mugs, you should check out Julia Smith ceramics. She is based in Ardesier and does some beautiful nature/ seasonal inspired pieces. 😊
Autumn is my favourite season by far, but, like you, I'm still in summer mode! Every year, I have this little period of mini-mourning as we transition from summer to autumn and winter to spring 🤔
Autumn is my favourite season, but here where I live it's still full summer :( We have 30 degrees, so for now I'm still wearing sandals and can forget about my knits 🥲 I feel like summer lasts forever and autumn goes so fast.
Love autumn though the temperature was 26 degrees in Wales today 😮. Book recommendation - The Whalebone Theatre by Joanna Quinn. Finished it in the last couple of weeks. A beautiful story with characters you really invest in.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Strange question but can you let me know which defluffer you use, I’ve had a few in the past and never really worked so would be good to try another as have lots of bobbly jumpers to sort! 😀Thanks x
Don't know if this is of help, but I have a Beautural Fabric shaver (plug in and batteries) and it is excellent. Much better than my first one, which was small and ate up batteries.
Some great recomendations for books though would prefer lonks to say Waterstones. Amazon are an awful company. Also I believe Notion is not end to end encrypted so not very secure. Looking forward to candles and books for Autumn. And all the beautiful autumn colours.
There are a few crofters here in the highlands and islands who have sheep as pets and will never put them into the food chain. They use the wool to knit beautiful hats and scarfs as a business. I only became aware of them this year through the vlogs. Sheep are actually intelligent animals and really do enjoy interacting with humans and getting cuddles.
