Wonderful. Makes my heart happy. Really feel for you when you're missing family. My brother is out in Sydney now for 4 weeks and his homesickness is a killer. I told him about you, and said just push through, but I know it's hard. Sending hugs. X

Hi Kim i know Australia is a lot different from Scotland but surely you enjoyed the warm night out with Ayla checking out the Xmas lights .Another that i enjoy is Carols by Candlelight in most areas on a warm night sitting out and enjoying the community atmosphere .I hope your visitors from home reinforce just how lucky you are to be here and help you settle a bit more . As a kid from Scots parents i am sooo glad they immigrated here and went through all the trials and tribulations that they had so we could grow up in this wonderful country :)

Yes it's a beautiful country. Our kids are loving it however Christmas is not the same, we get snow back home, it's cold and just as you would expect christmas to be. We are also surrounded by family so being here without is understandably tough. I'll be fine come January and I'm on the beach 😅😅😅

Hi Kim, just wanted to wish you and your lovely family Happy Xmas from Worcester, U.K. Im not even sure how I came across your channel a while ago but I love it and always look forward to following your adventures! I also love Australia and was lucky to travel round some of it for 6 wks with my then 2 1/2 yr & 8yr old sons. My eldest is 27 now and still remembers it as one of the best experiences of his life! That's lovely. What an experience!! It's hard but definitely worth it. My kids are having a great time. I just need to get past this tough stage and feel more settled. It will come ❤ hope you have a lovely Christmas 😊 x

Completely understand how homesick you are right now Kim and the package was lovely but just so you're aware, everything in that package apart from the crisps is readily available here just in case you should need to replenish. Thank you! Yes I've seen some of them in shops however the price of them is WILDLY extortionate 😅 I'm enjoying the Aussie snacks, it's just nice receiving some little home comforts! Hope you have a lovely Christmas ❤

Is your son dairy free? My son is allergic to milk and egg and we’re looking at moving across to Australia… just wondered what your experience with his allergy has been like over there?

hello. He is dairy free yes, i'm managing it well to be honest. I do think the UK has better range of options for prepared things like lunches/meals etc but there are a lot of ingredient options here which make it easy to make things. I haven't found that he has struggled. I'm not sure about eggs - i would definitely make that clear - especially if attending events with bbq's etc x
