This week we loaded up on lots of tongue and groove pine from Lowes, and painting and staining supplies from our local co-op. We are adding siding to the exterior (and interior) of our 550 sq ft tiny house! I started staining the lower 2/3 of the siding with Valspar Semi-Transparent "Pinebark". Josh bought me some BEAUTIFUL rainbow poplar board and batten to add to the upper 1/3 of the house, which I plan to paint...I just haven't totally decided which color yet!
We also took some time to prepare for cold fall nights here in East Tennessee, which means taking a tractor ride up the mountain to cut firewood for our woodstove.
Last thing, and maybe the most exiting part of our whole week, is when we began working on fencing in the front 1/4 acre of our pastureland for future GOATS and CALVES! They will need a tiny home as well, so stay tuned to see us build them a pole barn! Can we keep ourselves, our FIVE dogs, and future barnyard animals WARM this winter?!?!
