This video was super helpful! I’m planning on getting a guide dog (I’m partly blind) and live in a appointment with my family.. I wasn’t to sure on how to make my home comfortable for a dog but this was a great help! Thank you
Felicia Yeo I’m 9 but I might get a dog HAHA I’m gonna go meet him next week he is a standard poodle puppy I suggest you get help from ur parents and research a lot. The more u know and then your parents might trust you
Your pup is so cute they do the funniest things when they're so young! we've just got our show cocker spaniel Buddy and are trying to keep a video record of him growing up for when our daughter is older, loved the video!
I have watched sooo many house / apartment prep for a puppy videos and this is BY FAR the besssttt! All of the instructions are sooo clear & practical at the same time!!! Thank you so much, Amiko!! You have a beautiful apartment and Momo is sooo adorable, is Momo a mini poodle? 😀😀😀
I've been wanting to get a puppy since I was 4 years old. I'm now 22 and I'm getting my first home and also a golden retriever puppy in christmas! I already started preparing for the puppy, I can't wait! Thank you for the very helpful video!
@@Alisaaa-py6op I hope so too! The waiting lists on all dogs are like over a year in here due to covid, so it's not the easiest time to get one at the moment 😫
Lauri Barck yeah, not like that here in Ireland. Puppies are wanted sooo much, and the average puppy that was €450 is now €2000, it’s insane, my max is €600 but I did find a litter for €850, but it’s still so much over my max so I’m not sure. Good luck to you!
I too have a poodle, a little bigger, a minipoodle. We do not live in apartment so I am potty training outside. I love your setup for your apartment. You are very organized too. Remy is crate trained to stay in crate when I am busy and for his sleep. I am using a hanging bell on the door and trying to teach him to ring the bell when he has to potty. Still working in it at 11 weeks old.
Thank you! Glad to have fellow dog owner watching this video. I read about the bell trick too but never tried it because I’m not sure where to attach the bell. What kind of bell do you use? Say hi to Remy for me :D
@@INFINITIDY I put the bell on a lanier (about 14 inches long), hang over the door handle about 10" from floor so Remy can reach. He is still in training. My prior dog Calvin trained on this and was sucessful. Still working with Remy as he is only 11 weeks old. Take care.
Hii! i m getting a puppy in the year 2021(a year is left ) :( but i m soo excited!!!!! thanks for making this video. i love it!! i wasn't sure on how to make my house comf for the pup, but now i know thank u once again!!!!
Thank you so much for this video. I normally adopt adult dogs but my friend is no longer able to keep her puppy (family is allergic), so it is likely that I will be getting the puppy over the next few days (ironically, her name is Momo too). I’ve already written out a schedule and listed out food, toys, activity and vaccinations the puppy needs and I wanted to see if there were items I was missing
Thank you for watching. So sorry that your friend is no longer able to keep her puppy. I think raising a puppy has its own challenges compared to adult dogs. I hope Momo will adapt well in her new house :)
thank you so much for doing these videos! im getting a puppy after coronavirus is over and these are great tips! could you do a day in the life with momo? thx momo is so cute
Aww...Momo is super cute! 😍thank you so much for sharing great housekeeping ideas.. so happy its a vblog relevant to local context. Just wondering, what sort of flooring do you have at home? It looks like wood laminate? Does this have a fairly good durability in case puppy dirties the floor? Thanks again. Looking forward to your next video. Hopefully you upload one soon.x
Thank you!! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Our floor is vinyl flooring and I personally love it because I like the wood texture but the maintenance is low compared to real wood. It’s also easy to clean too and can withstand scratches so it’s suitable for pets.
Frist of all, thanks for the vid, one of the best guides ive seen so far. Im getting a toy poodle in a week or so and i live along and have a full time job, any suggestions on how to best prepare (apart from the dog day care - thats my last option) when i leave him alone (i plan to come down during my lunch breaks, but he will be along for 4 hours and 4 hours at the very least on the week days,
I would suggest to start slowly (15 mins, then 30 mins, 45mins, etc) and gradually increase the time so your new pup won’t grow separation anxiety issue. Some dogs are very independent but most don’t like to be left alone, especially at young age. Make sure the pup has lots of play time and walk so he’ll be tired and just doze off when you’re gone. Leave some toys with him too so he won’t get bored. Hope this helps.
Thank you for this video!! I am struggling with potty training because i was putting the potty tray far from her bed. and putting the potty tray beside the bed makes perfect sense! Btw! How i also have a toy poodle but it is very clingy and kinda have a love hate relationship with its designated ” living area”, how do y keep Momo not having separation anxiety and loving being left alone its laundry living area?
I remember Momo had separation anxiety too when he was still a puppy. We made sure to leave many toys and snacks for him and never forced him to stay inside if he’s in distress. Once we’re sure he knows how to use the potty tray, we opened the gate and let him go in and out as he pleased. Now that Momo is housebroken, he’s roaming free around the house and we don’t put up the gate anymore.
Momo is so adorable and such a good boy! Was the poo poo spray useful for potty training? I bought it too but my 3 months maltipoo isn’t so good at using the toilet even after using the spray! Can you share some tips?
I stopped using it after a while because I honestly didn’t like the smell. When I was still training Momo, I just consistently bring him to his toilet when he showed sign of wanting to pee or poo. I think the routine is what helps him learn where to go eventually.
Please make a video about how you potty training your dog. I want to teach my dog to use indoor potty pad now that I'm afraid to go out during the quarantine. Thanks!
I would love to know where you got you pee pad holder. I bought one, but will return it if I can find one like yours. I like how it’s made. I’m preparing for the arrival of my puppy on Dec.18th. Merry Christmas to me!! LOL!
Rosé looks like a standard poodle to me but I could be wrong. I do have a knack for those types of things. His legs are pretty long and his head shape is kind of square I guess 😂
Is so irritating when Asians act as robots and everything is planed and perfect. It's great to look at it but tge reality of being this structured is they get depression later on by the monotony. Release yourself more. You are treating your dog like a little robot or tamagotchi.
