One interesting note...In a recent post Hurricane video, There was a Marina where the pilings were tall enough and boats that tied to them suffered minimal damage. The ones that stayed tied to the dock cleats were lost due to the cleats pulling off the boards they were thru bolted too.
Thank you for this video! I have my first sailboat in Titusville and hurricane Dorian is about to come through Florida in a few days. This gives a lot of appreciated information!
I personally went through this exact training aboard Marine Corps Bade Camp Pendleton, California. I was deployed on the 15th MEU in 2008 sailing west to the 5th Fleet in Middle East region. Our primary mission was to be the Firing Artillery support for the 2/5 BLT. As a secondary responsibility were trained in non-lethal combat to support threats to American embassy or other Americsn controled non-offensive positions in our range. We train with riot gear, non-lethal, weapons, non-lethal, ammunition, and OC spray (military grade pepper spray). The treatment you would receive from those Marine might be more intence than a standard riot team. But the Marine Corps is never used for domestic problems. That's why there isn't a Marine Corps National Guard! It not what the Marine Corps is for. If you want to go toe to toe with a Marine Corps riot team. You'll need to wait for our current Commander and Chief to finish his term. Then fly to Middle East or Eastern Africa and and start rioting to overthrow a US embassy. If we then have a President that defend an embassy instead of ordering the Marines there to leave and abandon everything like in Yemen. You'll have Helicopters of Marine riot teams to throw rock and Molotov Cocktails at for as long as you can still stand.
