This is really a win win situation here. You gaining motivation from us and likewise. Really upgraded my climbing with the extra training ive been doing thanks to your videos👌
Congrats on the year!! I actually get so much motivation from your videos, and i really do get better at climbing because of it. keep the videos up I love them!
One of the honest reasons why I watch all of your videos is to know how hard you thought some of the "comp" boulders at Rose Bloc were, and for the first time I'm surprised that you thought the purple one around 5:07 was as hard as V9. You are schooling me SO hard on every other coordination boulder, but for some reason this one I thought was more in the V7 range after I sent it. I cannot get close to sending any of the V9 coordination dynos in the gym. Then again my jaw drops every time I see how strong you are on the more powerful boulders. Keep it up! We're all learning so much from your content.
Oh cool! Yeah that’s interesting I found the purple to be quite hard/tricky and I didn’t even feel like I was making any mistakes! Maybe 9 could be generous but it definitely felt up there with the other tricky coordo blocs ;) Honestly i have a lot of fun trying to put grades on the comp blocs because it can be really tricky sometimes!
@@richardsonsclimbing Looking back at my send video I notice that I did kind of a drop knee foot stab, which was a lot more secure since it got me much closer to the wall. Mystery solved I guess! Apart from this one, all of your guesses always seemed reasonable to me!
commenting even before watching the video. you definitely sparked the light in me to be more passionate with my training and thinking about climbing in general. thanks a lot for that and keep on with your passion for evolving and progressing.
Regarding the TOTD: Really? I always thought with paddle/coordination moves you generate a lot of momentum from the start, which then tapers off the closer you get to the finish hold.
For some cases that may be true, but for the most part this is how I like to treat paddles! There is never a one size fits all answer to any kind of climbing move, so it is definitely important to also assess each paddle on a case by case basis!
