'Prepping for Country Gardens Magazine|Pumpkin Problems|Home Construction, Just Life in the Garden, Season 3: Episode 30
Follow Our Gardens Daily on CaseyLynnLawrence
The shoot for Country Gardens Magazine is only a few days aways and there is still a lot to do!
The gardens need cleaning and fertilizing, the greenhouse front needs to be finished with fresh stone, paint and stain. The historic wagon needs to be finished with its restoration. On top of it all, Casey gets called into work for last minute details on the home design she has been working on for months, for Joseph Scott homes. Every years Casey designs the big Model home, does all of the selections and decorates it for the Parade of homes. Thats where people can walk through the home. The home is coming into completion, so there are a lot of loose ends to tie up.
Go out to the pumpkin patch and see the powdery mildew problem we are facing and how we deal with it! Will we be able to save the pumpkins? Continue watching Just Life in the Garden and Find Out!

Oh I feel your pain with the pumpkin patch never an end to the work. You have a great attitude about the hard work that goes into a garden. This year was my first time growing pumpkins and it was a learning curve. I will grow them next year only I will grow them smarter. The place you are building is beautiful.

Makes my day to see a new video from u both pop up 😅 wow yr greenhouse front looks gorgeous. I cant wait to see what u do in there. I always say it but u have a wonderful life there. The sunshine & the outdoors. Let me know if u need a (mature) English Nanny or garden helper 🤩 Do u have a compost heap? U must work so hard to manage the garden. I am trying to garden organically now I'm waiting for my first hedgehog to move in. Hope all the family are well. Love as always from across the pond 🤗 xx

tulip GB Hi there, hope you’re having a great weekend! Thank you so much for your kind words always! We did start a compost heap this year, it will be nice to be able to use it next spring when we are topping off our raised beds

Hi Casey, I use baking soda and water to kill off powdery mildew and it doesn't come back. Mold doesn't like alkaline. You will get some damage but not enough to hurt the plants. I would do a mix of abt 1 tbs per gallon of water. Love the videos and keep em' coming!!

I so love Hydrageneas! You make it look so easy to grow, and yet, I read so many people that fail to keep them alive, or have them for years and never bloomed for them, do you know why? It confused me and make me afraid to buy them...help!

Yam Perelman Rector we keep them close to the house where they are more protected, and i never cut mine back like we are told to do. They prefer more acidic fertilizers for blooms and amending, which that step we never do. we stick to no fail varieties like limelight and strawberries and cream
