We are sharing our wildflower garden, what's in blossom to cut for bouquets and why this is one of our favorite spaces. We aren't experts at having a wildflower garden, but we feel after growing one to be exactly what we want over the past 8 years has taught us many things that we can share today. We believe that what we have learned, will help you, whether you are a beginner, or have an established wildflower garden. We also chat about our connection with nature and how our new path was inspired.

Greetings from Ireland, Great video and beautiful wild flowers. Growing wildflowers over here is getting very popular which is great for the pollinators.

I have been sick and unable to pull those weeds. Well, the pollinators love the beautiful blooming weeds, so now I no longer look out and fret over not being able to be in the garden to pull those weeds. I loved all your info on wildflowers.

Yes, nature is loving all of it, and when you get to it, you get to it. The mindset of everything needing to be done right now, is a mindset instilled in us from school age.

Love the video, you look so pretty in your dress surrounded by all the beautiful wild flowers! I also have a Hugh drift of the wild phlox and dianthus. You are right it just perfumes the air , especially at night! I also have honeysuckle and wisteria shortly after in bloom which also smells amazing. I am getting ready to plant a bunch of wildflower mixes and with your helpful information, I now know what to do to keep the ones I want. One of the worst invasive weeds we have here that grows everywhere especially along the edges is called hemlock which is poisonous and nightshades. I despise them and have been trying to get rid of them for years. And talk about a root, they can be huge and quite long. Looking forward to seeing you plant up the window boxes, one of my favorite’s! Hope you are having a great memorial day weekend! ❣️❤️🇺🇸🤍💙🇺🇸

That sounds amazing, I bet your garden is beautiful! I’ve never dealt with hemlock, but it definitely sounds like a weed worth complaining about! Hope you have a great Memorial Day weekend as well!🌸🌸

The medicinals are a daily practice for us so it would be hard not mentioning them. I believe many are waking up to the old ways of healing and it’s beautiful to see.

Had to giggle at your attire…..my late Mother had so many cottage gardens and wore long dresses outside. She said bees would get up her skirt when walking. Uh oh.

Hi Casey, thanks for the pep talk, lol the one weed I'm still dealing with is that bind weed😡, however love the mindset of the native flowers for the native bees they serve. I think that's what they're looking for, "their food". Can't wait to see the wall garden!

I get the frustration with weeds, our arch nemesis is the pricker weeds. I cut them with the weed wacker and then spray the vinegar, salt and dish soap mixture on their freshly cut stems. It seems to help even though they keep reappearing the next season😂 I sometimes wonder if it’s a test on how long we can stay sane😂🤣 wall garden coming up soon, it looks different this year. 🌸

Appreciate you mentioning native plants. So many garden shows fail to mention, much less use, native plants. Often invasive non natives are advocated. Well done and good on you for discussing the deeper connection to plants.
@TheLawrenceGardenFarm

Adding the natives brought in a connection that can’t be described, it needs to be experienced. Thank you for watching!

I am just getting into flowers/plants. Any low cost suggestions for the tall containers? Also, do you have a video for dummies? How to get seeds from flowers you have, when to get and plant them?
@TheLawrenceGardenFarm
@TheLawrenceGardenFarm 3 месяца назад
there are many varieties you can self seed, in the newest video this morning, i do mention a few self seeded varieties. Zinnias, Millet, Snapdragons, verbena bonariensis, salvia, calendula, celosia, wave petunias, the list can go on and on. you don’t have to use large potted varieties that cost a lot. for saving seeds, i sprinkle those tips throughout videos, more of the blog style. But the best thing to save seeds, is to leave a dead flower on, wait until it browns, then snip it, bring it in the house where it’s dry, let it sit for a few days, and then harvest the seeds from it. I can show as we go this season.
