Can you elaborate on how to be a spin doctor? What does being a spin doctor mean, or what do recruiters spin? Also, I made the mistake you mentioned regarding tools. I was asked what tools I would need and I said something along the lines of using social media and Indeed, LinkedIn, and other recruiters. I never heard back from the company. Actually, it's really common to have a sourcer/recruiter do a sharescreen search. I have made the mistake a few times to not test a recruiter on their speed and general boolean knowledge and best practices on Linkedin recruiter. Luckily I'm a trainer so I can easily make a sourcer great, yet for comp reasons and to ensure you have someone that can hit the ground running, you have to have them do a search for you. I personally have a take-home challenge built for them to complete in 15 mins.
