Today's video is all about how I prep my makeup kit for a wedding! As mentioned in the video, I already had my makeup products sanitized beforehand so I mainly just wanted to focus on how I put my kit together and what items I bring.
Some procedures changed because of COVID such as packing individual brush sets for each client. I also show you in-depth of how I prepare my bridal touch up kits as well and what they have in them!

Love your videos! Have you tried buying the individually wrapped neutrogena makeup wipe removers on Amazon? They’re like 20ct for 5 dollars, I know I saw these when looking for wipes for my bridal touch up kit and they were like 60ct for $25, idk if you’ve bought these cheaper, if so would you let me know please!

Thank you SO much!! I’m not sure how much the remover wipes that I got were off the top of my head but I don’t believe I paid more than $12 for them on Amazon. I thought about getting the Neutrogena wipes but a lot of people are actually allergic to them so I try to stay away from Neutrogena products.

I also just started doing the ziplock brush bags per client idea as it was mentioned to me by another artist I work with! 👍🏼 great for timing and sanitation! what’s the name of the Clear brush bags you got on Amazon??

Yes! It's such a great way to be more hygienic for your clients. Personally, I wouldn't get the one that I got from Amazon. The zippers on them are really flimsy! If you just look up "clear plastic bags" or something like that you'll get a bunch of options!

What are your prices? I'm charging $50 for a full face and when I travel I never know how to guage that price. Can u do a video about pricing?

Hi Jessica! Pricing is SUPER location specific and and based on experience level. I would check with local artists in your area and ask what they charge. Also, keep in mind when you first start out, you can't be charging as much as someone with 10 years of experience. You can also ask them what they started charging when they first began as well :) I do have a video about pricing. It's older, but still applies! It is location specific but $50 can be kind of low depending on where u r in your journey.

I'm always nervous giving rcma powder on clients, I prefer a powder that has a tint just just to be safe. Its great value though so I'd prefer to give rcma over my Chanel powders 🥴 Have you ever had flashback with it.

Oh man, I would hurt a little bit inside if I gave away Chanel powders! I understand where you're coming from though! RCMA is a VERY professional brand when it comes to makeup artistry and has been tested heavily for photography. It's one of the best powders hands down for flash photography!

@@julieruby I have a bridal trial today so maybe I'll give my client a sample pot of it to try. My curiosity is if a client touches up their makeup incorrectly ( maybe packs on too much in one area or doesn't buff the powder in enough), will they have any issues!? I'll have to ask my client to give me some feedback! Thank you for your response xx

@@lulianaxx I know it may seem intimidating because the powder is white, but it is completely translucent! You can always let your bride know to put it on lightly as well. I just wouldn’t recommend it for women of color!

I don't wear gloves on jobs. They aren't as sanitary as people may think and they usually get in the way especially when applying lashes. I may switch back backgrounds not sure yet! :)

How much lip product do you put in the touch up kit?

I take my spatula and do about 2-3 scoops from my palette! Basically enough for someone to touch their lipstick twice.

@@heathernina Yes, but to me it's just a business expense :) I want to make sure that I give my clients enough rather than too little. It's not honestly that much in the grand scheme of things!

I personally don’t like the idea that people think that they just can be added on last minute. I’m working on my contract and such now and it lays out that I’m not doing any makeup on anyone that wasn’t part of the deal off the hop. Especially if I have somewhere to be afterwards. Like no judgement if you don’t mind an add on last minute. I personally think it’s rude. Either you’re getting your makeup done by me or not. I don’t like worrying about maybes and having to consider them if they want their makeup done or not

I totally get where you are coming from but to me I personally don’t schedule weddings or appts after weddings in case this happens. In my mind, it’s a compliment since a person was so impressed with my work that they wanted to get makeup done by me as well. Plus, it’s more money that I originally wasn’t making. But it’s all about perspective :)
