The dry ice trick may have saved you some pain but it’s looking good!

For future reference, kerosene is great for softening bituminous tar and making it easier to scrape up.

Good job man... removing that crap is a horrible monotonous job but it looks SOOOOooo much better! Had to be done.

You to invest in one of those cheap spray can deals that clip on and have a big trigger so your finger doesn't get tired.

40lbs of gunky sludge in a bag is 40lbs less in the car! Any weird smells should be gone now too. :) Great progress man.

I would take a wirebrush for the drill and i heared if you ice it before it will crack right off
@SMBGarageChannel
@SMBGarageChannel 6 лет назад
You can use dry ice, but I was doing this at night after work and it makes a bit too much noise, since you're hitting the floors with a hammer. A wirebrush would never have worked, it would just fling shit everywhere haha

Looks good. Excited to see what comes next. Is the classic steering wheel for the 914 for sale btw? I'd be interested in buying it.

thanks for showing us the grimy part of resto-modding cars. until you tear out the interior of a 30+ year old car, you have no idea how disgusting they are =)

No kidding, and hilaiously I have vacummed inside this car multiple times, and all that scrap still managed to hide in places
