I am in total awe of the level of engineering and technology that the team are employing to make this happen... “Going Fast” isn’t just a matter of strapping the biggest engine onto a set of wheels! Good luck guys.... make it happen!
I agree, for what this has done for the local community and the whole task at hand! It shows how all the unimportant crap is pushed on news services world wide.
I agree also, for such a landmark event and all the focus since Aussie Invader is still going and Jesse Combs so sadly vanished from amongst us. The media should be all over this like bees on a syrup spill...
Themayseffect The rocket is still in development by nammo the Norwegian company it's not ready to go in the car yet. Andy green said this in an interview a couple of months back. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lLBDqNTW0_A.html
Hate to break it to you, but the land speed record attempt will only be happening in 12 months from now. This is initial testing phase up to 500mph with only the jet engine.
I spy, with my retired military aviation eye: CANON Plug electrical connections, and what looks to me like dry nitrogen connections to prevent arcing in high energy electrical circuits. This is aerospace all the way... (But try very hard not to bend any of the dratted little pins, if you please) * This is my twisty little shout out to all of the "CREW DOGS" making this big Puppy run from behind the scenes YOU LOT MADE THE CAR!!!
Watching the team's progress intently from here in Florida. Wishing all of you the best in accomplishing your individual missions as well as the overall task at hand. Can't wait to see the 500 test and thank you all for showing us your support "poppies". GSTQ !
I have a question. Or two. So how many miles / kilometers or electrical wiring are in Bloodhound? How many miles / kilometers of hydraulic line are in Bloodhound?
I goto know how things are on the rear where the erosion is on the wing ,see if they put a little sacrificial winglets or golf ball dimpled plate to defuse the erosion or gone to a synthetic pad or possibly powder coating the plate ,we all know in a sand blaster the later are hard to punch through to get under neath.i defo think deflection helps as like a tank round there's slopping armour so it triples the material being hit
This should be on British news TV every night instead of the bull they want us to listen to. Great vids guys & all the best for ramping up the speed each time.👍🇬🇧
Not during these trials. That's to be added for the actual record runs. They've accounted for the weight distribution caused by the rocket though by filling the car with some extra fuel in particular tanks
Seems you keep testing the car at 50mph increments, gradually building speed. But wont this mean the car wears out or breaks before you get to break the record?
Scarface 39 The rest of the world uses d/m/y - it’s basically only the USA with the backwards date format (m/d/y). This would definitely have been filmed on the 4th of November
@@scarface-39 The world except USA does it in smallest to largest unit, that is day, month year. When I lived in Boston, USA (not England) this tripped me up a lot and confused my American work colleagues!
If you are getting interference and crossover space your splices, looking at some of your wiring it looks like a dogs dinner, we in Avionics believe in Tempest.
