SUMMARY:
Preparations for Entwickeln and a visit from the Zent keep Rozemyne busy, her attempts to read thwarted by her retainers under Ferdinand’s orders. Roderick assists with her vows and invitations, while Clarissa acts as a go-between for Ferdinand and Rozemyne. Leonore ensures she practices harspiel, and Cornelius helps her handle feystones without wincing. Despite her complaints, Ferdinand appeases her by granting her authority over her library, motivating her to focus on her duties.
To access the foundation hall, complex puzzles must be solved, guarded by curses for incorrect answers. While Rozemyne doesn’t witness the process, Hartmut and Clarissa record it. Her new library, modeled after the British Museum Reading Room, includes living quarters for her retirement and a corridor connecting to Ferdinand’s laboratory. She also creates a new entrance and puzzle for her foundation based on Ranganathan’s five laws of library science.
Eglantine’s visit requires Rozemyne to pause her library plans. Eglantine, now with a sharper demeanor, acknowledges her wrongs and agrees to Ferdinand’s conditions, including maintaining Rozemyne’s engagement and adopting Letizia with plans to marry her to Hildebrandt. Rozemyne’s finals involve destroying prisoners’ medals, and the investigation reveals the old villa is gone.
A misunderstanding leads Eglantine to believe winter was summoned to restore Rozemyne, but Ferdinand clarifies it was a potion. Rozemyne’s romantic feelings are downplayed, though her admiration for Ferdinand is evident, amusing Eglantine and annoying Anastasius.
At the engagement ceremony, Rozemyne wears a dress blending Ehrenfest and Ahrensbach styles. Elvira is ecstatic about the engagement, and Rozemyne and Sylvester share sibling-like banter. Bonifatius and Damuel express concerns, but Rozemyne reassures them.
Despite disavowing romantic feelings, Rozemyne’s declarations of wanting to care for Ferdinand reveal her true emotions. Her vows during the ceremony are moving, and Ferdinand’s promise to protect Alexandria echoes a promise from her father, leading to an emotional moment. The ceremony concludes with Ferdinand wiping away Rozemyne’s tears, causing a stir among the attendees.

Let's face it.. at this point, Rozemyne maybe her retainers' charge...but Ferdinand is their boss! Hahah. When it comes to getting things done and her own safety, Ferdinand's orders takes precedence over her own wishes! Hahaha

A retainers job is more than just making their lord happy, its also about making sure they perform their own duties as we found out in the Kirnberger SS. And Ferdinand gives the best instructions for making that part of the job possible.

I think for me, Ferdinand giving Rozemyne's retainers instructions isn't a problem because he is giving them orders for her wellbeing. As we see from Wilfried trying to order her retainers around at the royal academy while she was gone, Rozemyne's retainers have zero problems with dragging their feet and pushing back against what they feel is someone wrongfully exerting authority. But they follow Ferdinand's orders because they know he's doing all of this to help Rozemyne.

I wouldn't say that Ferdinand was overstepping his place with ordering Rozemyne's retainers... coz lets be honest.. in a way... she's probably used to her retainers taking Ferdinand's orders from her time as a blue shrine maiden wherein Ferdinand is her boss and she already expects her Fran and Damuel to report to Ferdinand... so i guess that mentality just never left her even now that she is the one who technically weilds the authority in their relationship. 😂

I’m pretty sure the retainers were more than happy to get some “revenge” on Rozemyne for all the times they had to rearrange their schedules to accommodate the library rampage in the academy. I believe they do try to act in Rozemyne’s best interest, and would ignore Ferdinand if they thought he was wrong

40:01 you will never know how educated the 1700s colonial peasant was. The reason the American revolution even worked, was the insane amounts of common knowledge, skill, and education that the average farmer had. The guys who were leading the charge at Bunker hill, they were all farmers and a couple of doctors. Washington was a farmer, Adams was a farmer, and not really that well off before he began his law practice. Our founding fathers had libraries with thousands of books in them. The entire generation had a great love for books. Benjamin Franklin had started this theme with a public lending library years before. Alexandria is going to be similar to what Athens was back 2000 years ago. It will be the intellectual capital of the nation.

I'm sorry, but neither Georges Washington nor John Adams were " farmers " in the first place, though. Washington was the owner of a large plantation, not your run-of-the-mill 1700s farmer and Adams father was a businessman and Adams went to Harvard, the guy never hold a hoe in his life. " Your founding fathers " weren't from the lower class of the society, but rich bourgeois. That's the truth of the revolutions of the XVIIIth century, they were led by the upper class of the economic society, people of great wealth, often way, way wealthier than your average noble. The fairy tales about the lower class taking arms to take their righteous place with their own hands is but a romantic propaganda which looks good in the national novel but is far from the historic truth, which largely explain why the so-called modern " democracies " absolutely aren't democracies but oligarchies. Liking Washington or Adams education or wealth to that of " the average farmer " is just fallacious and has nothing to do with reality. Both were way more well off than the lower and middle english aristocracy of their time, for instance. What you're doing is the same as saying that Gustav is your average Ehrenfest's commoner, that's so preposterous it's not even funny.

@@gerardmanvussa501 it is in John Adams biography that he was a landowner, that his wife and he tended the land, and that he was a lawyer in addition to this. Jefferson was the one who was high class. John Adams senior, the father of John adams, was a farmer also. So your assertion about John Adams is not exactly accurate. As for you marxist, I hope you lose. The ideas of these so-called elitists led to the greatest wealth ever assembled in the history of the world. It made American poverty the equivalent of African riches. It made the American middle class the equivalent of the upper class in most other societies on Earth. What your philosophy has created, what the government that you champion has created, is over 150 million dead people in china, russia, cuba, and every other hell hole were a dictator is necessary to enforce the kind of Communism you champion. The American experiment in 1600's, starting at Plymouth with the pilgrims was also under a charter to have communism. The Mayflower compact, if you read it, was communism in its infancy. Every man had a share of the common storehouse, and whatever was in the storehouse and whatever was available by way of land was given equally. The leaders of that colony found out within one winter, where half the people died, that style of government did not work very well. They turned to capitalism out of necessity for survival. These are historic facts that you cannot spin. History is very complicated, I do concede that Vladimir Lenin had good intentions. However, Karl Marx did not have very good ideas. He failed to tell how communist society or socialist society ought to be governed, so military and dictatorship Force has always been necessary to implement that which the people do not want. These are also historic facts that you cannot deny. I can keep going if you want, I've got an entire encyclopedia if historic data backing me up. I will concede that I should not have said that the common Farmer Rose up 2 lead the American revolution. It is however a fact, that the agrarian society as a whole was threatened by taxation, that the people were unhappy with the State of affairs between them and the crown, and that their leaders backed up popular opinion. There's no way that these so-called elites could have manipulated the people, if they were not grievances enough for them to rise up. It was the same as Lenin and Stalin did against the Tszar. However even in that revolution, you must know that the Bolsheviks started the revolution, then Lenin and Stalin hijacked it after.

I mean, there is a possibility that someone will pervert the message in time, but that is where her closeness with Dunkle comes in handy. They have been able to keep their duchy consistent since its founding, to be the twin swords of the zent. If Rozemyne learns to copy parts of her best gal pal's duchy, such as always reading the source, it will be possible for her library to become a key part of the country and maintain her vision. Edit: She also plans on having the first grade school education program for all citizens, including nobles, so she could instill the thirst for knowledge early in youth. I can very much see Hartmut coming up with another title for Alexandria being "the Zent's Advisor/Librarian" or "Mestionara's library on Yurgenschmitt/the mortal realm" to bring reverence to Rozemyne's goals.

I think it's also a point in mentioning, idk if it was exclusively stated since I'm not yet done, but the Bible (Noble* wtf auto...) connotation of, "Let me embroider your cape," is also a confession of LOVE. So I think while Roz meant it as family, Ferdinand saw it as, "feelings are not unrequited.

When tradions are requirements and were made clear then they will become unspoken rules. Any ADCs in Alexandria that can not read ancient language and/or can not perform religion duties will be look down upon or even disqualified.

TBH I sopped following this channel the moment you started discussing the pre-publication, this in my opinion is almost piracy since you don't even need to read the novel or pay the subscription to j-novel club
@TheChatteringMagpi
@TheChatteringMagpi 3 месяца назад
Aw, devastated to see you go. But lets be honest, here: My channel is so small a couple of chats on spoilers wont hurt anyone, and the fandom is so loyal and devoted that everyone who is able to has already purchased at least a copy of Bookworm for themselves even though yes you can find pirated content out there. Also a J-novel rep signed off these chit chats, and they have no problem with them at all. Finally, I think we can all agree that as fun and spoilery as they might be, these fan discussions will never replace reading the actual content! Anyways, hope you have a wonderful day and may you find it in your heart one day to check out my content once again, even if you still choose not to resubscribe. I have lots of plans for the channel once the LN is done! 💙💖

@@TheChatteringMagpi I do agree with most of your points... but In my opinion going for a "Pre-pub" session a few hours after the chapter released in the subscription-locked official site is kind of edgy.... But yeah, I do enjoy the chat and discussions and will come back after the chapter 8 on the last volume is released. Also, don't take it the wrong way, it's not like you're transcribing the official release and publishing it in some blog with ADs... I expect to come back for the final chapter review (after I read the whole novel) and i'll may buy a shirt.
