Presence and Absence [MLP Fanfic Reading] (Darkfic) 

I think this story is a metaphor about hitting puberty and how terrifying the behavioral changes can be, to the point where you don't recognize yourself. It focused a lot on Rumble thinking about a girl he was attracted to, and whenever that happened, late at night while he was alone in his bed, "some one else" would come into his room. The frightening entity in his bed was nothing more than himself behaving in a way that scared him.

At first, I thought it was just the normal kid having night terrors, but after reading the chapter myself, and listening to the audio. I realized something: a little earlier in the chapter, Rumble closed the door of his bedroom. But here are the last few words in the fic: "Enough light poured in from the streetlights outside to make out the contours of the room. Empty, still - not that he expected anything else, but it was a relief to see. Only the darkness of the hallway beyond the bedroom door remained absolute." I'll leave it there for you guys to realize what that means.

Another positively phenomenal and miraculous fanfic reading Guti i love it,and as always you gave the story such a spectacular narration,kudos to you my friend.

I just saw it pop up! *squee* second :p I'll edit once I finish the vid ^^ Okay I'm mildly confused, we see signs of death but he seems to still be alive? I might have to both rewatch and read this fiction to understand more. One last edit. I think he might be either haunted at night or is goosebumping it and doesn't yet realize he died. *shrugs*

Yet another brilliant story Guti, and the fact Rumble is acting paranoid, I kinda act like that as well, but minus asking someone, I am generally paranoid and it sucks when everything falls silent. But great story Tenebrous Tales is going strong still Guti Booty :)

So for me which seems like a far oss idea. This is either Rumble inside his conscious feeling guilty for something he did (i.e. my idea killing applebloom) or he has again just a guilty conscious that is from them killing applebloom. Well I think applebloom anyway it was one of the crusaders. Anyway my train of thought started with the burnt hair, and the creeping suspicion of something following him. The fact that this always references to one of the crusaders and the "Livelihood" of one of them in a grass field. The fact no one not even thunderlane says anything about the burning hair smell or he just doesn't acknowledge it. Which tells me this is all in Rumbles head. He also always since bringing up the crusaders so often seems he is almost obsessed with them. (not literally in his head but you get my point) So overall idea. I think rumble may have on purpose or accidentally killed one of the crusaders by burning them and the rest of this is either a fever dream or him just thinking himself guilty. If this is totally wrong then well what can I say but I am just feeding my own story. I would like to know what has happened and truly love this story. It is really cool with the creeping suspicion. I feel like something is watching me as I am being read this which makes these stories so fucking cool. I came here from The Lost Narrator and hearing him narrate it just entranced me. Thank you for the story and as this story ends I thank everyone who had the patience to read this.

Hmm well lemme think of a theory. So Rumble’s sleepless nights are caused by, what he calls, Night Terrors. However, there are physical signs that there is indeed something else in the room. The decaying, damaged hair, the smell of damp earth and the undeniable warm fuzz of hide whenever Rumble moved his hoofs around. So, what could it be? I believe it could be a form of Japanese Spirit but in pony form. Dark, decaying hair is a trait amongst japanese spectres along with the scent of damp earth and the warm hide could be cause it is a pony version. Hmm but there is indeed something puzzling. When did this all start? Sure Rumble noticed it due to sleep loss but what about all the times he was asleep? Does Thunder Lane know anything about this? And why Rumble specifically?
