Thank you for posting this. I can attest that for the short time, I have sat under these teachings, I have discovered that at no point in time has he laid his hands on me for deliverance. He has rather given me Christ through righteous doctrines in the teachings who did not make my flaws public and dramatic like people do, but God delivered me silently and privately from so many afflictions that honestly I'm grateful it's only God and me who knows. @@paulmusaemuekpere5923 The Glory of God cannot be ushered or associated with oil, or any other shadow representation of a reality. Its the Holy Spirit; The Substance that ushers/is associated with the Glory of God, NOT the shadow of the oil. The Anointing Oil is the shadow of the Holy Spirit.

Fantastic sermon, I was feeling it until the part where he said the Holy Spirit has replaced the anointing oil and that those who still use anointing oil are blind. I have my reservations as I believe that particular part of the sermon is flawed. Holy spirit has always aligned with the use of anointing oil. Mark 6:13 - And they were casting out many demons and were anointing with oil many sick people and healing them. James 5:14 - Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; The above scriptures prove that the work of God through the Holy Spirit is not hindered by the use of anointing oil. Some servants of God have been empowered to operate in the dimensions of God's deliverance and healing power using the anointing oil in conjunction with the word of God. So I beg to disagree with Apostle Takim on that one. Holy Spirit didn't replace anointing oil. However, I am not advocating for those who have commercialized the use of anointing oil. I only speak for those whom God has given the anointing oil specifically to operate and provoke God's power in the deliverance and healing ministry.

The Holy Spirit was a type and shadow of the coming Holy Spirit in the dispensation of the law. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the upper room fulfilled the purpose of the anointing oil. If you know the power of the Holy Spirit, you'll never touch any anointing oil or other such devices, I promise you. Please, go and study the scriptures you just quoted, the background, the time they were written and the kind of people to whom they were addressed at the time.

@@chrispineotieno I deliberately quoted James 5:14 from the new testament which confirms the use of anointing oil even after the event of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. So both background and timing has been ticked with that scripture. James had a first hand experience of the power of the Holy Spirit but still suggested the use of anointing oil during prayers for the sick. Unless there is something you know that Apostle James didn't? Anointing oil does not negate the holy spirit, it is just a medium that can be used symbolically to demonstrate God's power. That being said, it is not every MOG that is expected to use anointing oil, it all depends on the covenant God made with respective MOG; however, my position is that outrightly condemning it only reeks of limited understanding.

I understand there are excesses regarding the use of oil but The Holy Ghost has not replaced the use of oil. James 5:14 makes it clear that we can use oil when it involves healing the sick - Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

So the question is.. are you sick? For a pastor to use oil to pray for you?..Are all the people in our churches sick for pastors to use oil to pray for them?..Even standing by the scripture you mentioned..it says oil should be used to pray for the sick. There is also sth to point out that will let you know the context of that scripture.. but without going to that, standing on what the scripture says..it means all pastors using oil are misusing the oil

@@user-bd8yk5cs2e look at my first statement. That is what I meant by the excesses regarding the use of the oil. The New Testament is very clear about when the oil is to be used. But like I said, we shouldn’t abandon everything just because some people have corrupted its use. We follow the examples of the first church as that was Christianity in its purest form.

The fact is: The Holy Spirit replaced the use of oil. Whether the oil is being used in excess or as how it was used in James 5:14. The book of James was written before Acts..and the Holy Spirit came in the book of Acts.. after Acts all the way to Revelation..there was no where Oil was mentioned. And the Book of acts its where the Early Church was formed. Which is the pattern of the Church even now. The Holy Spirit replaced the use of oil.

In reference to saying those who use Olive oil statement he made, so what then do we say about James 5:14-15 that states the sick should be anointed with oil in the name of the Lord? Christianity I have come to realize is very dicey and there is actually no add and fast rule, we just need to be guided and do all you can to live by the word, on the daily. In this last days we need to be strong in discernment in the Holy Ghost. What this man is saying is partly true but the spirit that transmits this message through Takim is not the spirit of TRUTH. This is what we should expect in the last days people who will come to confuse the body of Christ. The first time I came across Takim, I sense that he is a very jealous preacher. Funny enough many people in the comments are saying I receive my deliverance. This in error. Pls read ur Bible yourself so that you will not be carried about with every wind of doctrines.
