New composition! Here is “Presenting Ditty,” a piece that came out of an improv session at Presentation Theater at the University of San Francisco. As a baby composer, I try to honor direct inspiration - sounds and ideas that seem to spring from inside or from goofing around at the piano - and then apply a little crafting and honing. I know that this piece is too short to count, but I spent a week trying to find new sections or new ways to expand it, and this is where it landed. On to the next piece! Here is the sheet music:
