This place is well known for being haunted and if you drive around Hermitage the city youll see many roads named after Andrew and Rachel. You did great showing everything and you gotta look me up the next time you are near here. Thanks bro and safe travels.

I haven't been to the Hermitage in years, think I was in kindergarten. My grandparents were in town for a visit and we went. I don't remember much about it, definitely time to go back. Very beautiful there, I love the grounds with all of the flowers. Thanks Jordan🌞💕

The Hermitage was the only presidential house I ever visited back in the early eighties! Watching this vlog, I can remember seeing the kitchen and tomb of Andrew Jackson and Rachel, yet, they have added new stuff like the historic Laffiette sign, and the models of the former house before the mansion. I'm going to have to revisit soon! So much has been added on over the course of many years. Thanks for taking us on your tour as always Jordan!👍🤩🥰

@@Regina0964 don't get me wrong, I lived in a rural part of Tennessee for 12 years and I didn't see anything there that reminded me of the United States. The law enforcement was a joke. I knew this one kid who used to sit around with my nephew in our garage and smoke weed and I guess after all that weed he decided to join the police department because he said that the 10 bucks an hour was the highest paying job in that county. The Municipal court Judge and the county DA got busted for federal trafficking cocaine. They were the largest coke dealers in the county and both of them wore ankle bracelets to work. To be fair most of the south operates like there own country. And 95% of all elected Sherriff's are more corrupt than the people they are housing in there jail.

My father commissioned a local artist once to paint his portrait. He hung it on our family room wall. We all made fun of him but the worst of it from our Mother. We hated that the eyes followed us. It is stored away I’m a closet somewhere.

My Grandmother had these old pictures that, as a kid, I was afraid of because the eyes seemed to follow you around. Like your portraits. Lol They were of two old women with the meanest looks on their faces. I, now wonder what ever happened to them, they were in these big round wooden frames, probably close to two feet long × wide. The frames may be valuable today because they were really old 55 years ago. I don't know where they went after her death...

Jordan, that place is amazing, I've been there, i bet you filmed atleast 8 hours that day, just looking and reading everything, my favorite part was the walkways around the garden area when the flower's where in bloom, i know after he lost his beautiful wife, he didn't want to live, but knew he had to finish what he was suppose to do first. The interior of the home was amazing, and the ceilings where high... thank you for the tour, there's another place not to far from there, another well known person, i just can't think of his name, not sure if it's the Meade plantation... thank you for the tour, and if i think of it I'll Edit it in this post...hugs from wisconsin, i love History that's my favorite.. Jordan, no matter what other's say about Andrew Jackson, his life wasn't perfect after his Father died before he was born... great video all in all..thank you for your time and energy, and the gas you havd to put in just to get to these historical places, so many people need to respect that more, plus the time to edit, find a hotel for you a Jah, pay no attention to those that only want to start a post war...

I have a back story on Pres Andrew Jackson. Kinda has ties to my family. When Andrew Jackson was making his campaign trail. Use to the Pres elect would travel by horse or by train to advertise his running for president. Well my cousin's family the Galbraiths had a farm just in Decatur county Indiana. Where my family is from and still here. Anyways he happened to stop at my cousin's 4th generation great grandfather was being born at the farm at the same time Andrew Jackson. He told the family if you name the baby after me and skip every other generation I will make sure the first born will get a scholarship to college. So my cousin Andrew is named Andrew Jackson Galbraith the 4th. Interesting story. There's a state of Indiana historical sign on the property to this day. Now my other cousin owns the property now.
