Honestly? So am I - and I am not even from the US... Trump is so unpredictable and it seems that all I hear about him other than that he became the next president, is anger, which splits society. Even though Obama did not do all the things he promised, he did a lot of good things - that should have been done far before him (e.g. the health care reform). It just does not fit my mind how people call themselves a first-world-country if in the same breath they do not have a problem to say, that those, who are poor, are at their own fault and hence have no right / way of receiving adequate medical treatment. This really bothers me, because I think that poor people are not necessarily at fault for being poor - and I think Obama truly showed a heart for them (perhaps more than many other presidents before him).

I don't see what's wrong with this comment. No one agrees with anyone else 100% of the time, anyway. Disagreeing on policy isn't a bad thing. It's pretty normal. At least you're acknowledging things you like about him and not demonizing the man based on what you do not appreciate about him. Kudos.

Chez Kr Racism touches Europe too, as a matter of fact it is everywhere. As far as being ignorant or lacking understanding of other countries, I have met many Europeans that do some traveling through the US and don't even realize how easy it is to travel cross country in the US and all the while never know if they have broken a law according a specific state and county. Even then there are federal laws on top of that. Then they want to point out how stupid we are for not knowing about other languages, and I ask "while crossing from east to west how many languages did you have to know? Only English? Think about that a minute." We can even cross into Canada and not know another language. Europe, Asia, and Africa would be in the same boat if they were like us.

Tip Aly I live in South Africa and we have 11 OFFICIAL languages. Most of us speak at least 2 - even the whites. We have racism problems too but we speak openly about our issues and I think that is more healthy. We find it comical how Americans get their nickers in a knot over weird race stuff; like when Ellen Degeneris was accused of racism because she photoshopped a picture of herself sitting on Usain Bolt's back. Your racism is hidden away and it just festers then. Anyway, i'm not picking on the States, all countries have their issues and I doubt even Trump is more of a thieving arsehole than our president is!!

Love that he has never pretended to be better than anyone. We are definitely going to miss his charisma, respect for all beings and just flat-out as honest and transparent as he could possibly be allowed as president of the United States. He understood that he was the leader of our country but yet understood he had to answer to others as well. He has always had grace when speaking to the people even when they would clearly show nothing but hate towards. We will miss you President Obama!
