President Droupadi Murmu marks her first visit to New Parliament Building

President Droupadi Murmu departed from Rashtrapati Bhavan for the Parliament building. The Budget Session will begin with her address to the joint sitting of both Houses. This will be her first address in the new Parliament building. The last session before Lok Sabha polls expected to be held in April-May this year is to provide a total of eight sittings spread over a period of 10 days. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the interim budget on February 1.

I think Indian people themselves are so much shaped by British era structures that a sudden change may come as shock to most people. Important thing is decolonization process should continue uninterrupted and hopefully does not get halted mid way !

It is the tradition since 1700s and whats wrong in this... President's body guards is the oldest and senior regiment of Indian army. It is such a beautiful having horses, colourful dresses and trumpets etc. instead of having boring black cars. Just enjoy the majestic tradition of Indian history
