Sad thing is, we’ll never see Trump give a heart felt speech like this. You think he even knows who Ron Santo is? No way. It meant a lot coming from Obama because he knows Chicago, and how much that championship meant to us Cubs fans. It really is more than just sport, and Obama actually understood that. I’ll remember watching the Cubs win the world series with my father until the day I die.

It makes me so happy that the Cubs won while this good man was president.

Admit it, even if you're a Trump supporter, it's much, much better to have the cubbies go to Obama to highlight and congratulate them on his way out. Obama, a fellow Chicagoan, Sox fan, using his witty humor and admiral oratory skills to really truly emphasize the historical victory. Much better than hearing "You guys did great. Real winners. Great job. Keep winning. Made a lot of Americans very proud. Proud."

I remember watching the Cubs win in 2016 I was watching it on TV with my mom I tell you this is something we're going to be telling our children our grandchildren it will be told for as long as humans are on this planet years decades will be telling this one thing I found interesting is President Obama was not a Cubs fan he was a Sox fan and the fact that he brought a team that he wasn't interested in to do that it's incredible I actually think someday someone will make a movie and call it the Chicago Cubs a win in the making.
