I was disappointed that Hassan ruined the closure by blaming Trump for not defending the 1st Amendment, which is not true. Trump can be blamed for a lot of things. Not defending the 1st Amendment is not one of them. In fact, it is my personal opinion that Trump talks shit to get around the censorship that our 'free press' imposes on anyone that is not establishment. Look at how Gary Johnson & Stein did not get any press during the election. Even Bernie got press only towards the end that too bad press. Trumps talks shit to force the press to focus on him. I think that if you are successful on your delivery, like Colbert, Hasan and others, the crowd shouldn't react at all... they are the ones being targeted by the jokes. The camera just shows that reality. Colbert got no reaction at all. Hasan was a bit more intellectual on his jokes at the end and I saw some of the crowd laughing.
