President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa lands aboard the presidential jet, before travelling to London in the Bentley State Limousine. 🇿🇦 🇬🇧
President Ramaphosa is visiting London for the first State Visit hosted by King Charles III. A State Visit is a ceremonial occasion hosted by the monarch, in which the visiting Head of State inspects a guard of honour, participates in a carriage procession, and meets with key figures. The purpose of a State Visit is to strengthen relations with Britain and the visiting country.
In this video, the president makes use of the Bentley State Limousine used by Her Majesty, the late Queen Elizabeth II. The limousine is escorted by the Special Escort Group.
The aircraft, named Inkwazi, is a Boeing Business Jet based on a Boeing 737, operated by 21 Squadron, South African Air Force. Inkwazi means 'Fish Eagle' in Zulu.
