he literally said he has people starving and without jobs in his country and that's where his concern is, then she just disregards what he says and compares his problems to lgbtq issues... WTF I live in England and id be very happy for this man to be our PM.
That's my President.... ❤️❤️❤️... A very proud Kenyan. Some of this things are none issues on this side of the world and if the west doesn't get it, they better forget about it.
Shame on CNN. Shame on Christian. It seems that she just called Ruto to check only with him on his position about homosexuality. The rest of the discussion was only to make background to this issue. Ruto is an intelligent mind.
CNN is a dying media house. There's talk in some circles in the US that it's only got a few months to go. Five top anchors have been fired in recent weeks, more expected to follow.
Believe me, that movement will gain countrywide traction in Kenya within the next 5 years. It's already promoted in your universities which means your next generation will force your government to bend the knee
Are you surprised by her, she has always pushed an opinion fronted by her masters. Watch her interviews with African leaders. Sometimes I wish this African leaders can boycott the whole bunch of CNN mongrels.
-Atleast our presidents are consistent about things that affect Kenyans right now. -No need to be dragged into an issue that is majorly a problem in Western Culture.
He handled the LGBTQ propaganda "question" very astutely. If the West is obsessed with committing moral and societal suicide, they should do so without trying to drag other cultures into their incoherence.
Americans always trying to ask that ridiculous question to nations still struggling with basic needs for their people...what answer do they expect from these leaders🤷♀️. This group has actually expanded to LGBTQIA2S+ and Africans can't keep up 🙌😅😅
I agree that for kenyans the LGBT issues are not a main concern but if that were 100% the case then kenyan law would not punish homosexuals with 21 years imprisonment. There would be no laws about it if it was genuinely a non-issue.
I didn't vote for him but I agree he's handled the interview very well. I think he can be our new Raila. Practising what you preach, then we're OK as country 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
May I congratulate you for your win and raising the bar on the process. Calm and patient. We look forward to your Presidency May God sustain you with good health, wisdom and integrity .
Ruto must deliver to all communities not only those elected him. For the past 60 years kenya resources have been mismanaged by kikuyus and kalenjins. corruption, inefficiency, nepotism, tribalism, lack of service delivery etc is the order of the day. Kenya is bigger than two regions. We need to review our constitution once again. The struggle continues against regional domination.
They can try it a million times but the answer still remains the same, We firmly stand on our ground when it comes to matters Values and Culture. Infact we don't share same genetics
I agree with u but in that case there would be no laws in kenya regarding lgbt if it were totally a non issue. Right now homosexuality is punishable by 21 yrs in prison. If kenyans really don't care about it there would be no laws at all.
@@SuperToocool4skool There are laws about many things. Most of them are irrelevant and not even enforced as a result. Who was the last person to go to jail for 21 years?
She is baffled by how smart his answers are! Poor CNN (also known as fake news) their first question is ‘would you accept our guy agenda!? Africans answer simple .. “not our problem!” I like how he answers to her mis amanpour … give me some real question !
I wish the West would know how taboo, incongruent, repulsive, unnerving n disorientating this subject is to an African. Strangely, it is like we are irreparably primitive when we retch n puke when the stuff is shoved down our throats. I Just DONT GET IT - WHO OUT THERE DOES?
1000 abortions a day is their average, not to mention what they are teaching kindergarten children in their public schools. They are in self-destruct mode
_"We want to be respected for what we believe in."_ The President is basically saying "b!tch, I said what I said, and I stand by it. Nothing has changed. Ain’t no space for that sh!t in our society.”
Please in this issue please respect Africa we are people of ANCIENT KHMETIC and our believes will not be changed by others national, one African does not tell others national to changed this or that so respect our people let them stand with their own culture. Why forcing Africans children to this why.
The choice of pictures, the videos and the topics this media house choses to display on the screen has nothing to do with Kenya and Kenyans. Our oblivious president is busy mentally to present himself as a capable. This woman should b told to avoid non issues and display honorable African pictures
@@effendititus generations could study and research thesis archives to everything to drought universities and colleges with generations are all for research and investigation and investments.
GF you are writing nothing, but about your self please Kenya we walk on street and say NO NO NO BECAUSE WE ARE THE PEOPLE HEAVEN IS WATING TO FIGHT FOR THE WHOLE OF HIS ANCIENT KHMETIC CHILDREN.
Christen Amanpour you can't impose your belief on our leaders nor on the people of Africa. LGBTQ issues are not Africa's issue..period!!!we are struggling with poverty and you can't enforce your issues in the name of human rights. We know the fact on the ground than what you assume to know about the issue. Leave alone our choices and our people.
To hell with homosexuality, although The president didn't alter it out but we are sure he respects Kenyans decision and of course the Kenyans decision is. Say no to homosexuality
Mr President please don't west your time explaining to such idiot journalist...... do your work then the people of Kenya will support you!! Your brother from ETHIOPIA!!
Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhh is he a president????? RIP KENYA. kenya, long gone country.......is now entertaining the possibility of breaking apart into other preffered modes of self-governance. A world where ruto is "the declared president" is a world walking on its head 😀
Homosexuality is not a social/ moral issue; it is very much a human right issue and I applaud Amanpour for pushing this issue. Someone who considers himself a leader being so dismissive, arrogant and ignorant is dangerous because it puts the LGBTQIA+ community in Kenya at more risk- it is encouraging hate crimes
That will be the last issue to be addressed. We don't have access to clean water, many of us, well tarmacked roads, education fees, health care needs improvement, among other serious problems. After all that, we can now talk about lgbtq community
