Zelensky only stays in his bunker most likely because his troops don't want him to be captured at best; killed at worst. He is the commander-in-chief and president, even if he doesn't have basic military training or combat experience. If anything, Zelensky gives speeches to increase the morale and confidence of his people, as well as people outside of Ukraine to ensure that his country will keep fighting until the end.

It was the south east of ukraine of Donbas where the "attacks" happened, of course I agree the direct infiltration was wrong but the purpose was to demilitarise that part of ukraine as foreign and ukranian troops were removing russian forces there. The only reason this has escalated is because Ukraine were given more and more weapons to remove russian troops and russia did not want to give back donbas as majority of the population there are russians ; it's like having ireland invade northern ireland and it is made possible as every single other country support ireland and the uk can't fight back
