Wyoming Head Coach Craig Bohl announces his retirement from coaching, effective after the Arizona Bowl on 12/30/23. Defensive Coordinator Jay Sawvel is introduced as his successor.
Coach Bohl thank you for your time as head coach. You brought back pride and a good foundation as well as good students and athletes. May your days of retirement be fulfilling.

Wish the fbs had a 12+ playoff just to see what coach could have done. There were some great Wyoming teams I feel could have made a run. Bohls resume is underrated 🇺🇸🤘🇺🇸

Thank you for getting the microphone to the reporters . . . should be that way at every media conference!!! Congratulations to Jay and Craig! Would like to have seen two separate Media Conferences - one announcing Bohl's retirement and one announcing Burman's hire of Sawvel. Jay deserves his own special day. In contrast, CSU set a huge example of professionalism with their media announcement of Jay Norvell (which can be viewed on youtube).
Ummm...big difference. Norvell wasn't hired and announced as the head coach on the same day CSU FIRED Addazio. Really completely different situations all the way around. Tying to imply this wasn't "professional" is just plain stupid and ignorant.
