Everything what he said is commendable. But towards the end 47:02 accusing catholic school Don Bosco as based on pure business model is really unfortunate. I wonder how much profit the Don Bosco society will earn by opening school in such a small village, most of the time they go deficit..The intention is clear, to provide basic education for the children of tha village.

I think this adviser need not poke his nose to every issues,as far as Private schools are concerned!!! First look after your own Govt schools n institutions. We can not compared govt n Private runs institutions financially n menpower. As Govt have so many teachers back door appointment, front door appointment or roof top appointment as well as contractual appointees n substitutes teachers. Private schools are compeled because Govt never give quality education as it should. Look at the pass result!!! My Small piece of advice to honorable adviser.. please mind your own business n remember where n how you were brought up. No hurts feeling please.🤚

Please check the qualifications of the employed teachers. Some are being employed without the requisite qualifications. This is really unacceptable. Hope to see a brighter future ..

This is such a breath of fresh air, a leader who is honestly trying to uplift the education system of our state. It will no doubt be a Herculean task to clean up a system which has been clogged for years if not decades. Politics, tribalism and many other factors will surely present itself as hurdles in this progressive approach. I wish the officer all the very best and pray that the system do not break him before he finishes what he has set out to do. I just want to emphasis on a point which he mentioned at 49.00 minute mark, where he advised the closing down of a catholic school in a village. Catholic schools have been a backbone of our education system providing quality education at nominal rates (for free at times) to villages for a very long time. My parents and many others would not be where they are today if not for some of these schools. So I think, while competitive spirit should be encouraged between private and government schools, both should allow to co exist and compete in all fairness. Wishing all my fellow teachers a very happy teachers day.

Education portfolio was most of the time allotted to backward side minister's in the past thats why the department was lacking in many ways just like their bavkward mentality, but glad this time we have a straight forward outright Advisor who i feel will take forth the dept and change it to better in many ways.

I think we don't need 2 to 5 schools in 0km diameter, which is an expenditure itself of the dept for infrastructure and hr. Appreciated the detail issue and problems. I stand by u sir

Yitachu was incharge of school education for long tenure so schools under Meluri got such examplary data. Every area and locality face such issues with which department were under thier local leader bcoz that leader only plays politics favour and not for ground change.

Dedicated, talented n sincere teachers r not getting salary regularly. Come to the ground reality. U will know everything. Those who r not sincere ,dedicated n outdated teachers r paid regularly with all benefits. They r only after promotions instead of teaching, moulding students.

Close those schools with high fee structure which are meant for business purpose and as well as dividing the society into high and low class in Nagaland . Affordable Education should be meant for all not Divisions. And don't target a particular community to close down their schools just because you have the power, talking about secularism and Equality set a fix fee structure and cancel those school license who can't follow it. N.B: We didn't vote for you to be one sided or bring religious denomination partiality and hurt people sentiments with politics. Do your work without favouritism.

Etu koa ru for such a long time. We need to drag back all the transfers and strictly monitor our govt. facilities and teachers. All the private students will seek a good education for free, why not? Nagaland has many under BPO yet we go for the private sector. The question is can the government school run like catholic school ? Yah everyone want free education but who will learn in a school where the teacher is inreqular and does not do the job of a teacher

Regular teachers are the liability to the department. Most of them r outdated. They r unable to do their job properly and entrust most of the works to the adhoc n contract teachers.

One suggestion. Transfer the teachers teaching in the capital and towns, specially the 'elite' and 'entitled' to the remote villages

What about temporary Pmis since education department lots of teachers are not getting salary through ts t pmis .. 6 to 9monts without salary it's hard for a teacher to teach cz we need to look for our family too ... Education department needs to look into this matter too

The biggest mistake the govt did about 10 years back, maybe more is that it recruited GT Subject teachers without knowing the core problem. What use are good subject teachers when the foundation itself is overlooked? What good can even the best Math or Science teacher do when the children are not taught well from the foundational level. Give priority to the younger children if you want good results in the future. Imagine the horror of a GT English teacher when his/her 5th or 6th grade students don't even know what a noun or a verb is or for a Math teacher when his/her Grade 8 students doesn't even know the multiplication table of 6. Moreover, the textbooks especially Pre-Primary and Primary are so disappointing that some teachers resort to teaching out of the textbooks. So the government and the department should fix itself first before putting the blame on the teachers who you recruited

Your reputation preceded prior to you being elected and assigned this portfolio sir . Hoping that there will be a big big wave of change under your able leadership in the government run institutes especially the primary and middle schools which are the basic structural foundation for any child to proceed and progress further academically to higher level.

Please please please install biometric attendance especially at the village level for the teachers and take equal action. Without doing it just don't talk about it. I know at least something about primary school because I was a Secretary of Students' Union in my village.

Please conduct LDE exam for better administrative effieiency

Sir highly appreciated and one thing, its good that government need to take strict action to those teacher who used intoxicated things and going to class to teach students and sometimes if they are fully drunk they fail to attend class that is one problem second point ministers and MLAs attached, we have 60 MLAs in Nagaland each MLAs have more then 20_30 teachers attached in every term i.e 5 years so that we have 30 ×60=1800 teachers staying at home and taking salary and running their family. public elect Leaders for all round development but our mistake is stopping teachers to go to schools by giving them attached without knowing that students are wasting their time in school without their subject teacher. therefore, request our state government to stop encouraging attachment system to the employees.

Hope something transformation happen in our education system.

Nagaland education system is too bad. And I wonder the salary of privite schools teachers. St the end the school earn millions and only paid a few. New appointment teachers salary should not be lest then 150000 but Starting salary with 7000 this is fucking business.

Sir what about the contract teachers who initially run the institute n were kick out sukha ram n dreams shattered? No job cos some overage. When they got new set of teachers through Npsc or same case political backup?? 😢 I know some post of teachers are never put up for Npsc n the concern teacher gets regular in the process or continue on contract 😮

4 months without salary.

Many schools in Nagaland are functioning without adhering to the norms and guidelines laid down by the Department of School Education and NBSE. The department needs to have a thorough check whether the schools are following those guidelines. If not, it is time the department take necessary steps and derecognise such institutions.

After so many years education department got a real minister.He means business walk the talk,very indepth knowledge.Hopefully he will revolutionised education system in Nagaland.. Atleast 10yrs as education minister.God bless you..

Only one thing i can differ is about recruitment to GT and PGT. Certainly the department and students in particular may suffer for few months but why can't the department met these shortages through open and fair recruitment through NPSC and NSSB although we know there are grey areas in these highly regarded recruiting bodies. People have lost all faith in departmental recruitment system. Give qualified and dedicated youngsters a fair chance to revamp this rotten department for good.
