Here is another full episode of press your luck. This is episode 331 as recorded from GSN in DVD quality. Sorry it is a wee bit late but this is the new year's eve episode from 1984. Peter looks ever so dapper in his tux. Bob has a big payday!. ENJOY!

This was my second favorite episode of Press Your Luck New Year's Eve 1984 and Bob got a very big payday and I love Peter's speech about wishing everybody a Happy New Year and in this case a Happy 1985, very memorable show.

I think i was 5 or 6 when it premiered. I specifically remember seeing the mike larson thing when it happened tho. I was about 7 then. I mean at 6 or 7 it was the awesomest thing. Blinking lights, lotsa pretty colors, lotsa excited people and an occasional cartoon whenever someone hit a whammy. What more could ya want at 6 years old? Lol.

@@seanjefferies9992 lol Totally agree! I'll be 50 next month but still am a 7 year old at heart. haha Forgot how much I liked laughing at the contestants when they got the whammies and that sound effect they play when they get one. Thanks for uploading these! Me and my wife are marathoning them!

Thank you for the compliment vahan. As stated my vids were mastered on dvd. Most others mastered theirs on vhs. Editing was done on nerovision. I am able to edit to the FRAME on it. Not a single frame lost. Im something of a perfectionist when it comes to quality.

When Peter said Happy New year to 1985, it made me feel like I was getting ready to be 22 years old. I turned 22 years old shortly after New year's. Where has the time gone?

I wish the 1983 and 1985 NYE episodes resurfaced. It would be especially interesting to see how the '85 one turned out. I imagine Peter was also wearing a tux in that one, and there was balloons and confetti everywhere in the end. Sadly, USA never showed the Christmas and New Year's '85 episodes.

To add to my previous post, they also didn't show the first two weeks (those turned up recently on GSN), any episodes promoting the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Home Player Games (including the entire 1st one), the previously mentioned Christmas/New Year's '85 episodes promoted the timeslot change, a month of episodes from spring '86 (I think), and the last month of first-rune episodes.

Press Your Luck should consider adding a "Big Bank" square to their current show. That way it can be an ultimate bonus Square where you get everything that the whammy took from the contestants. For those that dont know it is the amount the whammy takes from the contestant and if you correctly guessed a Trivia question on the big bank square you get all the money.

I don't like that idea. It was on the (really crappy) reboot on GSN. I disliked Whammy! The All New Press Your Luck. If you hit a whammy u shouldn't be able to get back your winnings. That's the point of the show. I like the reboot as it (for the first 30 mins anyway) adheres to the original's format and spirit. I like the themed eps they do. The episodes where they bring back contestants from the original PYL to play on the reboot are awesome. The 4th of july spectacular eps with all first responders is cool.

Don't get the passed spin at the very end by Mike. Even if Bob had whammied it wouldn't have helped Mike. I guess he was playing for second.

Hey vahan. My internet connection is painfully slow and unreliable so i have taken a brief hiatus from posting episodes. I plan to resume soon. I only pull down 3 mbps (where as before i was pulling down close to 20 mbps) so what used to take less than 30 mins to post takes 2 hours.

Sorry. I just got concerned, because it had been a month. Truth is, these are some of the best YT quality PYL vids I've ever seen. Many pre-2008 airings don't look this good.

Don't hate the black; hate the game! Two of his opponents tried to spoil his fun and FAILED! The second one is in this episode. Color doesn't have a damn thing to do with this game, so you have NO right to be hating on Bob! For the record, Bob is my favorite player and I'm very happy for him!! At least he didn't WIN as much as Michael Larson!! This WIN puts him at number 4 on the all-time list.
