dunno if you guys gives a shit but if you are bored like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all the latest movies on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my brother for the last weeks :)
Thank you for this idea, I love to press plants with beautiful shapes or colours. This is a very crestive way to use those lirrle treasures. I enjoy your videos, you are very creative. and your explanations are very clear. I am hording prettty papers and other stuff (well, mostly things like those you use) and am constantly looking for ways to turn them into something useful. Junk journals are great,, some of your ideas already have been used by me. Thank yot, Natasha . Jutta Bohne
I have to say you are my favorite Junk Journal artist. Last weekend I had my 5 yr old grandson over and he loves to pick flowers for his mom. Well he forgot to take the lilacs and I had a phone book (with hard cover!) and decided to throw them in and see what happened. I couldn't believe how wonderful they look but didn't know what to do with them. So nice of you to do a video for me (lol) Thank you!
Just love your individuality! You are an inspiration Amanda just adore what you do! You are definitely a Creative person, you never disappoint us!! Thank you so much for sharing your ideas with us!
Thank you so much Gail. I' m a visual person like that too, and I retain a lot more information seeing it written down, so thats why I do it for others!
Thank you for the sentiments and for refreshing the pressed flowers idea. I have a hand-made flower press which I haven't used for 15 yrs. so I better get started.
Another awesome video, just loaded with inspiration! I'm sitting here thinking to myself " how could I never have thought of this. I even garden" oh my! you are blessed with creativity. But you sure have inspired me to get out there and gather mother nature's beauty. Thank you so much and have a happy day!
Another awesome idea for unique embellishments, thankyou. What I like most about your videos is u give alternative ways of making each item for those who do and don't sew. Excellent advice
I can hear you perfectly, Natasha. I love that you have options for your idea that anyone can try it. Botanicals are a great addition and add so much interest. Can hardly wait to make some! Thank you!♥️
Really beautiful idea, I'm making a gardening journal for a friend for a present this will be perfect, I'm adding surprise random seeds in cereal packet pouches for a bit of fun and I think these will be a perfect addition.thankyou.
So pretty. The lists you always provide is very helpful. Moving next week from my home of 35 years. It will be nice to take a few memories with me. Thanks so much 😊
I really learned many things from you! I found I could print on self adhesive laminate straight in my printer so may play around by combining some of your ideas! Thank you.
Carolyn thank you so much! That makes me so happy! I love how you are letting your creativity bloom and grow. We get inspired and then our own ideas come to life.
I thoroughly enjoyed this, much appreciated. I still have the autum leaf that I picked up the day my now 22 year old grandson was born. I have the original stored in a plastic document sleeve and also scanned the leaf on the computer. I also have a pressed rose that my husband gave me over forty years again and way back then I pressed it and once dried enclosed it between clear contact layers. Thankyou for the trip down memory lane and for the inspiration to save flowers and foliage more often now. Best wishes from Australia :)
The recipe book I'm making for my daughter will be a nature theme. I'm currently drying some purple wild flowers. They have been between paper towels and in a book for about a week now, I didn't actually know what I was going to do to preserve them. But now I do!! Thank you! And I am also going to bring in some of the flowers I just recently potted. Impatiens, marigolds, vinca, mandevilla, geraniums....the list goes on...lol Thanks so much for your wonderful videos! Hugs!💕~Suzy~
This is amazing! I’ve been collecting dried flowers for years and have them in different book pages. Thanks to you now I know what to do with them! Is the cover of the journal a dried flower too? You are great, thank you! 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you . It is wonderful idea. I have flower collection during my latest trip. Now you taught me how to display. I also have a habit of collecting sea shells and soil and sand. If you have an idea to display please share it
Hmmm soil and sand would look cool in those little vial bottles. If you can get really tiny ones, and if you make journals, they can be attached to the spine as a charm :)
I've got rose-lemon scented geranium growing wild in my garden. Thinking it may be better to let this kind of leaf dry a little? as they're a little moist...? They would make any journal smell beautiful though.
Do you have any advice for me? I have tried to do press flowers but I live in a very humid part of the United States and even after the flowers are dried they still turn brown because of the humidity. I haven’t tried laminating them tho.
BTW, you can purchas matte laminating pouches that you can easily write on (at least, I've tried writing with a simple HB pencil, that means you can erase it as well)
Love ur amazing stash of dried pressed flowers/leaves Recently I've started to dry some flowers & all kinds of leaves inside my vintage books 😆💕 #nofusssolution 📚 I'm having a great time doing it! However... Do you have any tips for me how to store the leaves/flowers once they're dry? After all, I'd like to make room in the books for new flowers 🤗 #thepressedflowerjunkie Thx a lot, Liat
Sure my mum gave me a box of dried flowers. Some up to 20 years old. They were stored in envelopes. One type of flower in one envelope (Not a separate envelope for each flower, but rather all same types bundled in there together.) And the system works, they are still flat in those envelopes and they stay intact. I hope this helps!
@@TreasureBooks Really?! I will try the envelope system (I was worried the leaves would crumble once I store them) 🍁🍂 They look so crisp 😆 and so delicate... Thx, again, for your quick (and helpful) comment 🙆💕 Have a fabulous weekend! XXX
What is that? My mum actually gave me a box of dried flowers, and some of them are 20 years old!! Some may have been from overseas. I googled 'large brown left' but I'm none the wiser. I am so grateful to get my hands on some of these amazing dried flowers!
@@TreasureBooks Thk you for your prompt reply. Would a stationary shop have this? We do not get many of the gadgets etc here n have to improvise but then... Necessity is the mother of invention. !and it's fun to try n invent! And I have to thank you for being the stimulus with these marvellous tutorials!
Sorry about that. I did apologize about being quiet in the video. It was my only chance to film, and hubby was in a meeting. If you have that issue you can turn the subtitles on. I also have a problem with earphones hurting my ears, so I get it.
