Here is a short video showing the procedure for replacing the pins and bushings in Caterpillar TEN tracks. The press being used is a 60 ton press.
In this set up you can see that two things are happening at the same time. The new bushing is pressing out the old bushing at the same time the old pin is being pressed out at the other end of the same track link.
This step produces "rebushed" track links. They are pulled off the table and set in a pile for later track reassembly. See my other video for Step #2.
The tooling is actually for John Deere MC/40/420/430, but Caterpillar TEN tracks have the same pitch. Pin and bushing receivers had to be shimmed accordingly though.
The actual new parts are for MC/40/420/430. The new parts press in tight, but they can be pressed.
