If the pixel harness (or better yet, a more comfortable updated version like Mountainsmith Strappettes) can be attached to this in the hip belt carry mode, it would be amazing for not just photojournalists but many other fatigued photographers!

I love how the main compartment zipper runs in a straight line. Whenever a zipper has to “turn a corner” it’s a point of frustration and failure. I just wish they would change their logo. (I know, nobody cares). It looks like “impact”, the font that comes with your computer.

I've got the 10 and 20, they are versatile lightweight bags with the padded insert removed. My only complaint is the dividers aren't wide enough for the bag when the padded insert is removed, an option for a set of wider dividers would be appreciated

Looks like a successor to e.g. the Change Up series? I have the Change Up v2. But I'm curious; the website states that the PressPass 20, for example, is just 11cm deep. A Nikon Z8 (as shown in this video) is 11.9cm tall. With an Arca Swiss plate, you can add maybe another cm to that. Will the bag accommodate that setup? Am I correct in saying this can be worn the same way as the Change Up? By connecting two straps in an X shape, and using the hip belt as well?
@ThinkTankPhoto
@ThinkTankPhoto 7 месяцев назад
Hey there, the PressPass 20 is 21.5cm deep (with the insert) I use my personal one to carry my Mavic 3 drone standing on its end (23cm long, it protrudes above the foam padded insert, but the zip closes fine) In terms of bag width + camera height the insert is stated at 11.75 wide but is easily flexible enough (as is the bag outer) to accom the Z8, the 11.9 is at the top of the insert, where your lenses, typically much less wide, will be down in the base of the insert (if that all makes sense) In terms of using the strap config similar to how you describe with the Change Up, yes you could rig it to do almost exactly that.

@@ThinkTankPhoto I tried the PressPass 20 in a store a few days ago with my D750 with L bracket attached, which I think makes it about the same size as a Z8, maybe even a few mm larger. I was surprised to find that it fitted perfectly. It was snug but not tight. I also had my Tamron 100-400 with me and that fitted vertically on the left side, but there wasn't much space left. However, that lens is shorter than, say, the Z 70-200mm, or Z 100-400mm. I'm not sure if any of those lenses would fit? Lastly my 18-35 also fitted quite nicely on the right of the body. I will say that I do like that it's a bit smaller and lighter than my Change Up v2.0. Although I also have a thin skin belt and the Digital Holster 20. Not sure what I will settle on. The modular system is more flexible, but it's also bigger and heavier, given that I'd need the Lens Changer 75 for my 100-400, and another lens changer for the 18-35. And that I can't attach that to the Digital Holster on the right side. Instead it can go on the belt, but then everything becomes a bit more of a thing to manage. Perhaps not ideal for travel. I don't know.

When I remove the padded insert, does Think Tank have any replacement inserts with organization for everyday items instead of cameras? That would be cool!

With the insert removed, will the Canon RF 100-500mm fit vertically (8.2" long) in the Sling bag? I know it'll be a tight fit but I'm wondering if the zipper will close.
@ThinkTankPhoto
@ThinkTankPhoto Год назад
Hmmm... You just had me trying to close my 6" ruler in a bag and imagine it was a lens 😅 - I think it'd be 'just' and that it would be pretty tight, I do think it'd work though (I'm not sure how buly the 100-500 is but it seems kinda compact) ...short answer - I'm not 100% sure but 'maybe'

I’m very interested in the sling bag. Thank you for showing it fits a 70-200 2.8 on body. Is it long enough to do that and hold a 24-70 2.6 standing up?
@ThinkTankPhoto
@ThinkTankPhoto 5 месяцев назад
Hi Alan, we have this on the sling page one our website - Standard-size camera with up to a 24-70 f/4 attached (vertically), plus 2-4 additional lenses - along with internal sizes which should give you all you need to make your decision there. Cheers

No information on the front zipped pocket. Does it have internal subdivisions? A key clutch?

Hi Terry, no, it's a single pocket with no key clutch

Don’t get me wrong I love the functionality of Think Tank bags. But the actual design of their bags has always lacked style. All their bags are generally black and boxy, except for the retrospective series which is boxy but different colors. Don’t get me wrong I do like their bags, but I wish they have more of a style to them rather than the same old black boxy look
@ThinkTankPhoto
@ThinkTankPhoto Год назад
Black and Boxy, that's us... The most spotted bags on professional photographers around the world makes us very humble and very proud and they all like 'em black and boxy. (Hey, we make a nice Green backpack!) ...But yes I guess you're right!

Debating on the 10 to use as a hip pack to carry accessories and an extra lens. Does the 70-200 fit in the 10 laying down and not attached to a camera body?
@ThinkTankPhoto
@ThinkTankPhoto Год назад
Yes, the interior width is 11.5” and a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 is 7.83" so you should have ample room. Check out the web page for more gear shots www.thinktankphoto.com/products/presspass-10

does the sling allow for you to switch shoulder sides by readjusting the strap?
@ThinkTankPhoto
@ThinkTankPhoto Год назад
The Strap is attached at the top (can't adjust it like the 10 and 20) and the zipper to access the main compartment is only on the one side so if you switched shoulders you'd empty your gear on the ground.

No compartments for laptops/tablets?

On larger bags, absolutely, not on these smaller bags in the PressPass series though.
