Pressure hose tangling

@@lbowsk I can understand that. The idea sounded better than the way it actually worked out. I would say it helped, but only marginally.

Strangely enough, I just bought a new backup valve as a gear broke in my old one. Same problem as you, it was too strong and kept tangling at the outlet. After doing everything conceivable with swivels, hoses and floats, I took old and new gear assemblies apart to see what was different. Only difference was the impellers were angled in opposite directions inside the gearbox??? There is a slight curve. I split the box and pulled off the little outside gear holding it in and put my impeller from the old one in the new one. Pushed the gear back on and problem fixed.. it doesn’t pull as long and hard and moved better forward. I think some knockoff parts were simple molded wrong.

I've used a couple of pool noodles and cut them to fit in-between the hose floaters. Works great.

How do I fix it.

@@EugeneChavez-de6kc put the hose in a large can (like a garbage can) ..add hot water and vinegar..let it soak over night. Will remove deposits like calcium that keep the hose stiff will also remove it from the swivels.
