Using the Coolant system tester and filling the coolant system using the new coolant system tester I bought off Amazon. No more trapped air pockets in the system using this machine.

I think the important thing is to get the coolant in the low spots, which the tool will do a great job of. The rest can simply be poured.

What’s the pressure you used on your air compressor line?
@737mechanic
@737mechanic 2 года назад
120psi, the only thing the air pressure does is operates the venturi to create a vacuum. It doesn't actually put 120psi on the coolant system.

How did you get shop air connected to this tool? I have the same one sold as a different brand.

Had to swap out the air connector it came with, with the normal air connector we use here.

@@737mechanic I'll give that a try. I have the fancier oemtools 24444 airvac here as well. but it's not making a seal with my radiator neck for some reason. So I'm stuck using my cheap Amazon one.

Is it possible to vacuum fill the system pumping air manually? Or is it strictly necessary to have an air compressor?

If you have a hand held vacuum pump you can use it to hand pull a vacuum on the system for troubleshooting.

Question is did it end up solving the issue. I was looking for the sequence on the valves air/water as I have the less expensive one with the same valve body and this helped, thanks.

Yes it did.

You pulled a vacuum on the entire system and only had to fill out half a jug ? that system takes lot more than that if a proper vacuum was achieved

just because you pull a vacuum doesn't mean you sucked all the water out of the system. The water in the lower part of the block or radiator will still be there.
