UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust ru-vid.comUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.
I have a DeWalt 3400 pressure washer that did not have pressure. I originally thought the pump froze up. Found and watched this video and checked my unloader valve. It was stuck. I loosened it up and lubed it and reinstalled. Works great now. Thanks Chris! Saved me hundreds.
I have a Lowes Power washer That built pressure and stalled I cleaned the loader valve made sure it worked and cleaned the little hole put it back together and it works like new. Thanks
I'm having problems with the 2800 PSI at the pressure switch the Springs broke I want to know where the ball goes in first or the spring goes in then you bolt screws down with your plug to the office today
It sound like something is worn in the unloader that might be letting pressure pass through it and if it's leaking an oring maybe cracked. If you take it apart you may be able to replace the orings or you can purchase a new unloader.
Thanks for the informative video. We have a Dewalt 3800 psi and looks very similar to this. Suddenly we aren’t getting any water thru it. Water in, no problem, but nothing out. May need to replace that same part
I have the same model Dewalt 3800 and the same symptom as you... water from hose into the INLET... NO WATER coming out of the OUTLET (none). Did you ever figure out what was wrong with yours? It would be great if you can let me know exactly the issue that was causing yours not to exit water so that I can focus directly on the problem with mine. Thank you in advance and Merry Christmas.
I just got a Ryobi RY802800 (I know, not the best, but it does have a Honda GVC Type 9 Engine). Anyway, I'm happy with it, but concerned that I might be over working it. I do give it a break between fueling, but otherwise it's under load all the time. It seems to me that keeping it under load 99% between fueling might make the the valves happier, but not so much the engine. What do you think?
My AAA pump on a DeWalt pressure washer has a problem with the ball bearing below the unloader part removed in this video sticking up in it's seat and the spring on the unloader removed cannot push it down when it should. I've had no luck getting the seat and ball out of the casting.
Have a simpson PS60841, have to keep the wand trigger pulled back all the time to keep it running. Took the unloader valve apart and replaced some o rings so as the spring loaded adjuster would slide back and forth. Then inside the port in the spot where the two orings are on the unloader valve is a small port that goes back to the discharge where you connect the hose for the wand. This small port was plugged, used a hobart tip cleaner which uses tiny drill bits. Found tip cleaner at Northern tool. Also used some .035 hard welding mig wire to clean out this small port. You will need a flash light to see it.
Hi Chris. I have a Honda GCV160 power washer. When I squeeze the trigger in the wand, the engine stalls. Do you know what’s wrong with my pressure washer?
I have a Kohler 3000 series, used only couple hours if that, today after starting it, I felt that pulsating you described then water started jetting out of the seam between the copper head and the body of the pump, in the valve next to the unloader; no pressure out of the nozzle, all pressure was out of that seam as if it busted a seal. I took the copper head off but I don't know what I am looking at; the pump that comes with that pressure washer is an 8.7GA12 High Pressure Pump; I can not find it online or parts for it.
Have Dewalt 3800 with 53003 pump much like in this video. Has been used only few times then pressure dropped to around 1/4 pressure and only minimal strain on engine when reaches that point . Installed new seal kit (no change) unloader seams fine ???
My washer locks up and consequencely is hard to start. It is also hard on the hand when pulling and the pump suddenly locks. What causes this? Do I need a new unloader cartridge?
I have a craftsman 2400 psi and the only way I can keep it running is when the handle on the wand is pulled in once I release it,it stops running! Any help would be awesome
Hey man.. I have a 4400 psi Simpson pressure washer (it’s the predator 420 cc motor & EZ 4040 pump ) My machine seems like it needs to push out 1,000-1,500 more psi Do you have any advice/recommendations for fixing this?

I have a pressure washer with honda motor, I didn't use it very often but last time I did, soonest I release the trigger on the gun the motor just shot off... So what I have to do it's just keep pushing the trigger all the time... Any idea what I can do? Thanks Raudel
Nice video!! I have a general pump T9211 pump.its 3000 PSI ,4.2 GPM pump.I am not able to get 3000 psi from it.I noticed water starts leaking out from the bypass at around 2400 psi doesn't matter how tight the adjustment screw is.My unloader is general pump zkhm.I tried to run the pump without the unloader and its producing 3000 psi at same rpms.Do you think my unloader needs any adjustment or should i get a new unloader? Thanks
Hi, great video! I have the same model pump on my dewalt washer. Question? Can this model pump be bypassed with a return line to my tank? I having problems with my pump sometimes it chokes and won't pull water from May 100g water tank. Had the pressure washer for 6 months (new) but recently it's having this problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thx!
hello I have a Sears Craftsman power sprayer. I left over winter in my garage when I finally got a chance to use it water shot out the front of it once I started the unit up. I don't know what's going on?
Yup if the pump is not drained when winter comes and freezing temps are normal, the water freezes., expands and splits the pump. I learned that lesson myself a couple of years ago. I store mine in my basement utility room which is heated. Make sure you drain the fuel completely if you do that.
+Travis Neuberger , some of the check valves maybe stuck open from debris that can come in from the water supply hose or sometimes the plastic cage on the check valve checks. If you can get the check valve out without it cracking you can see if it is closed correctly and if not you may be able to clean it. Always put a little grease on the oring when you install it back in. Hope this helps, sorry for the late delay, I was on vacation.
I removed the Allen caps on the water pressure area and I can see there white plastic thing but they are stick in there, they suppose come out easy?thewarrantycenter
I have similar pressure pump that I purchased new from Lowe’s in 1997 and the salesman told me to always flush pump, after each use, with pink RV antifreeze until it runs through pump and nothing but air with a couple of drops of antifreeze comes out.The antifreeze lubricates and preserves all of internal gaskets and O-rings ect. Also drain carburetor gas bowl and drain fuel from tank and by doing this after every use I’ve never had any issue with freezing problems or pump problems or starting problems. And don’t forget to change pump oil every year.
+Dlbachman88 When it pulsates one of the check valves is either damaged or stuck open by debris that got into the pump. Most times the pump check valves need to be replaced or cleaned.
Alguien me puede decir cómo puedo reparar mi pressure washer, tiene unas 40 horas de trabajo , es motor Honda de 4000 psi trabaja muy bien pero no succiona el jabón o el químico, que debo hacer?
i have a pressure washer that you got to have the sprayer handle pressed all the time it build up so much pressure it boggs the motor down and its a 6hp.what causes that.
I have the same issue with a 3400 psi 2.5 gpm and have only used it 2 times thought simpson pressure washer were good . I am lost. Going to replace the hole pump.
