👌 Jet washing and full chemical deep cleaning to block paving 👍 Satisfying video - pressure washing ASMR
Power washing with chemical (sodium hypochlorite) pre and post treat using the X Jet M5.
Block paving often suffers from heavy moss and weed growth. Having the area chemically cleaned can often keep the driveway cleaner for longer.
⭐️ This driveway hadn't been cleaned for many years. Heavy moss had built up and dirt had become ingrained. Shady and sheltered areas suffer the worst and can become slippery very quickly. With the use of a chemical (sodium hypochlorite) all this ingrained dirt can easily be removed.
🧰 Equipment used in this video 🧰
X Jet M5 chemical applicator nozzle - Quick application of sodium hypochlorite solutions.
FSC - Flat surface cleaner, mosmatic or whirlaway as they are also known.
Twin headed turbo nozzle - For easy edge cutting and moss removal.
Spinning nozzle or turbo nozzle as they are known - To cut through stubborn weeds.

Another great video Phil as always. It looks like your only run one hose to fill your tank rather than two. Have you gone up a larger size hose to compensate for it? I’ve been really busy again gutter cleaning. Very lucrative once you’ve purchased a sky vac or simlar.

@DirtyDriveAway
@DirtyDriveAway 10 месяцев назад
Hi, So I use 14/15% hypo. I may be able to supply a nozzle but it depends what connection you need and your machine spec. I don't carry many of them anymore. Yes this driveway had a pre and post SH application. I usually leave the SH down for around 15mins. This dilution rate of 3:1 isn't really strong enough to kill lichen spores. It can help on block paving as they typically don't bed themselves as deep as say sandstone. To remove them will take SH nearly neat and anything up to around 2hrs to work. A weaker ratio can be used but tough lichen spores won't always come out.

The machine draws water from a tank. This needs a supply from a customers tap. Usually water flow from the house is sufficient to keep the machine running or you just adjust your pressure/flow rate to suit.

Everyone has their own pricing structure. You charge whatever is a fair price for the work your doing. It all depends on your competitors pricing, how good your work is and generally what you feel you need to earn from it. Charge too little and you won't make much money, charge too much and you either won't get the job or won't get asked back in the future. @DirtyDriveAway
@DirtyDriveAway 2 года назад
Hot is only really needed of you need to sanitise stuff like barns etc. I've never felt the need to have a boiler as it just increases maintenance and running costs. If you wanna spend 7k on boiler system then that's fine but remember it needs kerosene or diesel to run and will take up most of the space in a van. You just wind the pressure down if you have bad mortar.

@chrisa4882 2 года назад
@@DirtyDriveAway Thanks for the advice Phil. How would you go about cleaning a filthy brick wall using low pressure? Would you rely on plenty of chemicals? Also is it true that a surface cleaner with hot water can cut through any grime without leaving swirls, but a surface cleaner with cold water will sometimes struggle when the paving is really filthy? Some people on the forum's use the comparison of how much better hot water is when washing the dishes compared to cold water, and think the same applies to pressure washing.
@DirtyDriveAway
@DirtyDriveAway 2 года назад
@@chrisa4882 just a bit of chem if needed and some low pressure. Hot water does have a place and yes can be beneficial. People who use hot water swear by it and won't ever go back. If your budget allows and you have the need for it then fine, but cold water for everyday cleaning is more than sufficient. Remember driveways and stones aren't greasy so hot water just means you can use lower pressure, but won't really mean a better clean. Residential stuff rarely requires hot water and chemical will usually always give the best result. Hot water is more costly to run and maintain and obviously setup in the 1st place. If you think you will need hot then go for it however cold will be just as good if your only doing residential. The space a hot water system takes up is quite a lot. Damian knows his stuff and his van builds are too notch. Go with your gut and budget, dont go for hot if your going to struggle financially. Bear in mind as the running costs are higher so will your pricing which may cut you out on some jobs. There's a line between using the hot to help pay for it or just keeping the customers price fair and using cold. Either way the extra outlay of a hot water system will need to be recompensed somewhere.
