I’m glad you made this video. I haven’t cleaned any pads yet but I want to. I’ve wondered if people only clean around the dumpster and ignore underneath. It seems a lot of people do. You do it the right way. I commend you on caring about doing quality work. I’m going to follow your advice.
I use a Harbor Freight floor jack and slide a dolly underneath it, wheel the dumpster out, clean the area then wheel it back. Our dolly has 5" casters and measures 3x5. Of course, we charge them extra to pull the dumpster out.
@statestreetlandscaping6955 yep. I've tried the dolly trick. I was cleaning 10 pads at one shopping center. I put 4 dollies under 1 dumpster, pushed it out and the wheels broke off 2 of the dollies. It was pain. I've thought about building my own dollies out of steel and putting stronger wheels on them. I may do that in the future, but often times, there is so much trash & debris under the cans that it's a total pain for the dollies to roll over it.
I just have the manager call the dumpster company to move the dumpster for a few days. They just take it out of its spot and move it outside of the wall so its still right there for the employees. Bam. Now you can clean the entire pad. This tip was brought to you by M5 Twist.
@MR.TOYBOX that works great.....when it works.... I've had property managers tell me that their trash company is horrible to communicate with. So bad that they wouldn't call them to move the dumpsters anymore. Most of the time when the truck drivers have moved the dumpsters for me prior to arrival, they don't move them out far enough and end up setting them down on top of more trash. So when I'm done cleaning, they move the cans back into the enclosures and there's trash all over the ground and the ground in front of the enclosure didn't get washed...
Yes, sometimes. I've tried that, but the dollies weren't strong enough. They collapsed under the weight. Also, there is usually so much trash, rocks, debris, etc underneath that the dollies won't roll over it. Also, there's not always enough room to lift the sides and back.
@ChildOfYahweh13 sorry for the late response. Thank you for the kind words. My prices range anywhere from ~$100-1000 per pad. I know that's vague, but it depends on how dirty they are, how much heavy trash I have to haul away, how far away from headquarters they are, how many cans they want cleaned on the same property, how often they want them cleaned, etc. For example, If there was a restaurant 10-15 mins from headquarters that had 2 pads, they weren't super greasy and there was no heavy trash that had to be hauled away, I'd probably be at $200 per cleaning if they wanted them cleaned once a month. It may seem cheap, but if you can clean both cans in about 45 mins, that's good $ to me. Working for 45 mins a month to increase your income by $2400/yr is pretty good in my book.
@@refreshpowerwashinginc551 my prices vary. Typically anywhere from $100-1000 on a dumpster pad. Price depends on how dirty they are, how often they want them cleaned, how many they have on the same property, how much heavy trash I have to haul away, how far they are from clean Industries world headquarters, etc...
@RobertoVillarreal-nn9lf I meant to bring that up in the video. A pallet jack would lift it, but they are only meant to roll on smooth concrete. Alot of dumpster pads have rocks, trash, debris, etc under them and you may not even be able to get it underneath the dumpster.
