One of a few vids that explains how an average pressure wash company set up actually works. Thank you. I’ll be uploading mine soon. Exactly the same but open trailer and I do not have the pump running to the tank. Will be doing that this week. Thanks again.
abdul0811 Where I live it gets cold while it's still pressure washing season. Having it enclosed means I can put a space heater in there at night and not worry about my pump housing or hose freezing.
I appreciate the tip on raising the ibc above the power washer inlet with plastic pallet. My "shark" washer says 20 lbs pressure to the supply. Does ibc create that lbs with water weight?
Cool setup my man! I'm thinking about getting one of these 275 tanks. Guy selling a bunch of them for $40! I paid $30 for my used 35 gallon one. You said your getting 8gpm out of your system? I'm very interested in getting numbers like that. I have a 4gpm machine and I swear sometimes I feel like I'd rather spray the house down with a garden hose (sarcasm, but you get the point) also, you said you have the tank on a pallet so it's sitting above the inlet of the pressure washer? Does that really make a difference?
yes im getting about 8 gal min really i would be ok if i got 5 as long its more than what the pump is pushing out. and for as the pallet prob running a half full tank prob wouldn't need one but it was free so i just didn't chance it and just trying to have as much flow possible but i think you would be ok without it . thanks for the questions
This is a brilliant setup.. you gave me some ideas, Thanks.Im in the UK and I cant find that detergent adaptor that you showed. is this something you made yourself.. Thanks
casey young would like to know what you used to connect the red hose feed line to your hose reel? Specifically what fitting you used at the hose reel swivel?
So... There is a possibility of putting all this equipment inside a cargo van ( like a Sprinter or similar ). My condominium complex doesn't allow trailers, and the village ordinance prohibits overnight street parking. Yes, I could look for some small commercial space, but I rather spend some money on some old van, than pay rent. I'm in the same situation, employed full time ( for now ) with a passion for cleaning things. How did you get your customers? Beginnings are the worst... Great video ! Thanks for sharing your setup !
@@jake08casey that is exactly what im doing now with a 150 gal tank with my 4 gpm, just have to be innovative with the exhaust how you want it to face maybe add tips to the exhaust leading it to rear doors or side i lead mine to the rear doors so i have those open and use my side doors open to run my hoses off my reels. It can be done
Hey Casey excellent video! Helped me out a bunch with my setup. I'm just getting into the business and I'm trying to figure out what the bottom black hose is used for?
Oooooh ok I get it. Are you able to do soft washing with your pressure washer? I was told to just change the ends. I'm currently practicing on my family's homes before I start trying to get business. Don't want to be out messing up people's homes.
one for the garden hose i got at tractor supply and the filter right before the pressure washer is a bangjo filter i think i got it off of amazon. just google banjo filter and they will pop up
Did you say that your 4gpm is producing 8gpm? i have a 4gpm havnt plumed it yet to a tank i was thinking 1/2 inch to the pump from pump to jumper line 3/8 line to 3/8 hose line what do you suggest ?
I have question my man. So I set up my trailer sorta similar to your, I have 135 gallon water tank ran 1" pvc pipe to 3/4 nylon hose to the pressure washer, the only thing I'm not getting any pressure. The first time I ran ever everything I had the tank on the floor, no pressure. I raised it 4" so it can be a bit above the pressure washer inlet but still no pressure, you think you can help me out?
i would prob try a bigger inlet hose but my hose is a inch and my pump sucks it right in maybe try a little bigger tank or get the water source higher hope this helps
casey young if you are running a direct drive unit it won't pull water compared to a belt drive or gear driven units. New to this but I have figured that out
can anyone help me I have a 2700 psi 5.0 honda hp water pressure. and just put a 3000psi pump.its hook up on a 100 gallon water tank ? sometimes it doesnt spray water at the instead that the wp is turn on, I got to mess with it... help plz.
I work for the railroad too ( Norfolk Southern ). They cut our overtime and started to bring more and more contractors to do our track work so I decided to start my pressure washing business. I sure do miss those hefty checks with all that overtime but it's time to move on and have something on the side to compensate.
@@trotmanpowerwash3892 you can get a direct to pull if the exchanger comes with a bypass system then it is commercial grade and strong enough the key to direct pump is to have your tank more than half way full to provide enough gravity fed pressure and to have big enough hose.
I don't have a pump my pump on pressure washer will pull water plus the hose is so big it with feel a 5 gallon bucket up in 20 sec. more than enough for this pump I could run two off this one tank if needed
casey young I purchased a 120 298 gallon per min transfer pump to hook 2 ft from water supply. hopefully it will increase water pressure when the house isn't enough
The supply tank is giving me 8 to 12 gal a min to my washer my pressure washer puts out 4 gal min . I have the tank where my washer will never starve for water. Yes in the video I said 8 gal a min from my tank not the pressure washer. Hope this helps
the red hose is running from the reel with the hose pipe to the tank.and more gpm more wash you get also bigger surface cleaners you can use sense my pressure washer runs on 4 gal. a min i use a tank to make sure my pressure washer doesn't starve for water. my tank produces about 8 gal. a min. some house only put out 2 or 3 gal. a min. the tank is a safety feature for my pressure washer
casey young hey great video. Thinking of doing this myself. For 'fleet' washing I would assume water source availability is not as readily available (would like to offer this as a service). Any idea what people do in this case? Should I get dual axel and fill the tote?
Sorry about the mistake I made in the video about the water flow. The tank is putting out 8 gal of free flow so that being said my 4 gal min pressure washer will never be starving for water. Hope that helps
He’s not. A Cat 3CP3120 is rated at 4.5. I had one on my first rig. I now use an 8gpm setup, and I can promise you that GX390 ain’t pumping 8gpm with that pump. Theoretically you can use an 8gpm pump paired to a GX390, but the psi won’t be enough for anything other than vinyl. You want 8gpm with 3000+psi you need a GX630/660/690, or a Kohler CH620, or a 2 cylinder B&S Vanguard.
