How long does it have to be in the tube to be able to use the balls again?

I have recently brought this product about 2 months ago. it really does work. it revives balls that are a year old and also maintains bounce. its not so much about saving the cost buying new tennis balls but its actually important for your game to play with consistent tennis balls. instead of playing with that dead ball. you play with balls that consistently bounce the same every time. thanks.

I live in Florida and ordered 3 tubes 2 weeks ago and just received them 2 days ago. I have a bunch of old tennis balls that I want to restore so I put the tubes to test. I hope these tubes will do the job. I'll keep you posted...

Looks like the clamp design is revised. Is it possible to buy the Mk. 2 clamp for Original tubes?

How do I know how much to pump it to reach 14 psi? I didn't see you use a pressure gauge.

How long do you have to leave the balls in the bag for until they reinflate to 14psi?

Depends on how soft the balls are, and the temperature you store the tube at makes a big difference.Balls that are a bit soft will revive in a day or two if the tube is stored in a warm place (25 -30 Celsius ).If the tube is stored cold then it may take a week or two

You may retain some pressures but not the felt. Eventually, you will have to use new balls.

how does this work when the atmospheric pressure on earth is 14.7 psi and this is putting 14psi around it surely that will do the opposite
@pressureball4410
@pressureball4410 6 лет назад
Hi Jordan. Your figure of 14.7 psi is a scientific measurement of air pressure compared with a vaccuum. But pump gauges don't measure air that way. Pump gauges treat the air around them as 0 psi. So when the pump says "14 psi" it means the air pressure inside the tube is 14 psi higher than the atmospheric pressure on the outside of the tube. That's the pressure you need to store tennis balls at. We have a detailed explanation on our website - www.pressureball.com/frequently-asked-questions/#what-pressure I hope that helps.

Just buy a case of new balls. A year old tennis ball is still a year old and will not keep the pressure for more than an hour of play. Even a new dud ball from a can that exploded during shipping will not keep the pressure for more than a day or 2. If you get three of these and rotate new cans in then you might find it worth it. Cannot expect to use this twice a summer and balls last forever.

I`ve never stopped using a tennis ball because they were flat. Those are for wall practice.
