So I am from Canada and recently had my 2nd SGB injection. The experience has been promising to say the least. My PTSD related symptoms went from a 7 or 8 down to a 2 or 3 which is amazing. I noticed that my sleep is slowly coming back which is great, I do occasionally have the tug of war going on between my head and my body, but this does not last long and I recover much more quickly. I am having more good days than bad showing improvement making gains much faster than I was before the SGB injection. I have to remind myself this is a treatment not a cure and please check with your doctor to come up with a treatment plan to come off of your meds. Unfortunately, The Dept. Veterans Affairs do not recognize SGB as a treatment for Canadian Vets and I am trying to change this. Wishing everyone great success with their journey and taking back their lives!!
thank you Steve for sharing your encouraging experience, we are hopeful for your continued progress and also for the Canadian Vets out there to gain more access to it soon too!
Holy cow! I just got mine done yesterday and as they were injecting it 20 years of panic attacks every single second of every day disappeared. I just got home about an hour ago and I feel 100% better. Going in for my second set of shots next Wednesday
Woo-hoo!!! Congratulations, Josh. I KNOW this is neurological and must be treated as such. Talk therapy doesn't help any more than it would fix a broken hip. I am planning to have this injection asap. Thank you soo much for affirming my decision. Bless your heart for sharing and giving me HOPE at last.
i have been living like you for almost 48 years. Tried meds, exercise therapy, etc.. of very little help. Getting the SGB procedure in a few days. Praying it helps!
@LivingTruth I wish I understood more. I had a very good result for a few months. I have terrible short term memory, now. This is almost not worth any of the experience. The cost was high. I was desperate to find relief. I was going to do more. My PTSD therapist asked me not to. If you have extra money, maybe consider it. Mushrooms work far better.
@@resilientangel5915 Thank you, for taking the time to respond. I hear you. I’m sorry your short term memory is like that. I can relate a lot. I experience anxiety for years upon years that made it very much hard to function in life. It’s like you’re half blind trying to figure out the way. I definitely feel more drawn to work with mushrooms than that. May we both, and all, be healed and vital and clear and feel fully alive. Amen.
Thank you very much for sharing your experience, Josh. I will be getting a stellate block injection on Monday at the clinic you work. To be honest, I am scared to death it won"t help me and want to cancel my appointment. I decided I will go ahead and give it a try. This video and also listening to a pod cast with an interview of a woman I will call S.G. who survived the unimaginable, is what helped me get through the night and not give up yet. I hope I will get to meet you maybe at the clinic on Monday. I don't usually hug people, (it scares me so much to do it) but it would mean the world to me if I could just hug you for sharing this video. My name is Lisa Hull. I had my consultation and my appt is Monday afternoon, Aug 30th at 1:45 pm
Hi Lisa, we are so proud of you for taking that courageous step and deciding to go forward with your SGB procedure on Monday. We let Josh know about your comment and he is very excited to meet you! He says that he is touched that his story was able to help you, and that he is here to help you---we all are 💙 Please let us know if you need anything and we look forward to seeing you next week.
I had such high hopes when, 12 hours after my SGB (right side), l could walk without intense pain. Hallelujah, it's a miracle! Three days later l had a bad flare, and reminded myself not to think of it as a cure. Three weeks later and I'm back to square one. I don't think it made a bit of difference and seeing all these testimonials is quite depressing.
We feel your discouragement, and apologize for the delayed reply. We wonder if you may benefit more long-term from a repeated SGB. Did you speak to your provider about it more?
I’d love to know what the injection consists of/ingredients please? And what are the recommended amount and for how long? Does it last for years? Thank you.
We're happy to say that Josh has been doing a lot better since receiving his SGB! Each day is it's own day, but it's been amazing to see his recovery 💙
Hi Josh. I was wondering if you might be able to talk to me about this because I am planning on getting it and I just had my second consultation today so the next step is scheduling the procedure and paying for it but I would like to talk to someone who actually has gotten it done just to ease the panic that I'm feeling as I'm typing this.
Hello! Would you be able to email info@joywellnesspartners.com and ask for a chance to speak with Josh or one of our other providers about the SGB and their personal experience with it? Thanks so much!
I had a right sided block and it did not work I was hopeful and I’m very disappointed I’m doing consults with local providers I don’t understand why these work for some and not for others
I want this. I just need help getting there. I was on anxiety medicine for close to 21 years. I'm not a veteran. I know if you have experienced different traumas you are a candidate. Can anybody lead me in the right direction.
Hi Tammy! We can definitely see if you're right for the candidate for the Stellate Ganglion Block procedure, or if any of our other services could be helpful for you. Please contact us at (858) 609-0866 to schedule a complimentary phone call with our client care coordinator. Please know that are here for you 💙
Is that SGB permanently cure disease of ptsd for rest of life. Im struggling with myself. I've sleep issues, stress issues and alot more issues mentally high anxiety avaoilding places and events. Plz help me or share I clue that I've to done it.
It usually helps improve most major symptoms; nothing is 100%. The symptoms could come back with recurring trauma or another stress injury. It should be considered in conjunction with mental health therapy, mindfulness practices, etc.
Yes, in the case of Josh, his results have lasted him for the long-term, although there are also cases where individuals need to repeat the block due to new stressors in their lives, and the SGB is a resource in those times.
Chronic anxiety, or anxiety that occurs over an extended period of time, can cause a wide range of symptoms. Dizziness is a common symptom associated with both acute and chronic anxiety. SGB can help with anxiety and depression, so it could potentially help with dizziness, indirectly. Maybe a peptide infusion as well, after SGB, to help the nerves that lead to dizziness.
That's dependent on many factors, but it can last for a long time depending on your situation. Your SGB provider can help manage your expectations with a private consultation prior to the treatment.
I suffer with ptsd, agoraphobia, and depression. They don't do this injection in my area of Manteca, California...but I really want it bad... I can't travel or even leave my house due to the agoraphobia and panic attacks... any suggestions.
My son had it done at a local pain clinic for $330. I called around 7 places and finally found a place willing to do it for anxiety/PTSD only 10 minutes down the road.
Hi Steve, we feel for you as you mentioned fighting the demons right now, and that's such a tough spot to be in. We do the procedure at our clinics in San Diego, CA and Salt Lake City, UT. Contact us at info@joywellnesspartners.com to find out more info.
