this scene honestly made me fall in love with Ali, something about this scene was just so beautifully acted and written. You can just hear the pain in her voice when she talks about the truth and where it got her, one of my favorite scenes in all of pll history.

It wasn't a dream, she was really there.

It's been over 12 years and I'm still in awe of Sasha's acting. One of the best actresses in the show next to Troian and she was so young.

im pretty sure most of us are here because of season 4 episode 13. when ali told hanna to remember the night at the hospital... and we all wanted to remember too! Pll is getting into such a twist... ezra is ACTUALLY A and ali is alive. whoo! who wouldve thought that?! haha. cant wait until "Who's in the box?"

yep ali was visiting the girls, but the girls thought it wasn't real but it was.

She was literally insinuating at the end that she was alive but no one knew until season four came out and Ali actually told Hannah she was alive FOR REAL

You know, I really should do something about PLL, this show is genuinely getting on my nerves.

Still my favourite scene in Pretty Little Liars, almost 14 years later.

A lot of people who said Alison didn’t change in season 5. This proves she did. When I watched this scene I said to myself even if Alison was alive this was definitely a dream because of how nice she was being. People think she didn’t change because she wanted to control the girls again. I don’t see season five like that. Alison yes has a habit of lying, but she grew up so much and became nice. I also find it pretty realistic how the girls were shading her and being distant because they didn’t believe her. By season 6 they fully trusted her.

Goddamn it, this conversation revealed nothing. This show has been raping me with lies, twist endings and unanswered questions ever since its started. The finale better be the best thing I have ever seen after what this show has put me through

Am I like the only person that noticed that Ezra had his hand in his pocket both times he met the girls at the end of the 13th episode... because Spencer hurt him when they had a fight in the room with plants, she cut his hand... He WAS in that costume. Also, cant you notice Ali's outfit? It's the same outfit the girls used to get into the morgue. Ali was obviously in the morgue for some reason. Ezra is the bad guy obviously, but we all know that A makes people do things they dont wanna do because he/she has something on them (my first guess is Malcolm). Anyway, she said here that its bad to tell the truth to the wrong person at the wrong time... I think that's what she wanted Hanna to remember. Maybe because she didnt want Aria to know, or maybe we dont know everything about Aria (got that idea from the comments). Maybe Cece was helping Ali in all of this, and lets not forget who dropped her in that episode when Em was trapped in a box. Maybe it wasnt an accident. Still, i dont wanna believe any of the 4 have to do with anything.

I love the emotion in this scene. I love the split-second flashbacks.

It's really cool knowing that this REALLY happened and it wasn't a flashback

Also when she says "I really should do something about A" I think she's referring to Mona. I think Ezra was always looking for Ali but took A from Mona once he realized she started coming out of hiding to help them every time A messed with them.

This wasn't a hallucination or dream. It's amazing. 😍

I sooooooo wish that we got a bonus episode or even a couple of them and what really happened to Ali all that time she was gone … and how she met cece and everything!!!! Especially how she knew that the girls were in trouble

Thanks for possibly spoiling the series for people who HAVEN'T read the books.

I'm happy that the show is actually being thought out and not just randomly put together as they go, linking a scene from season 1 as a clue in season 4 means they actually put time and thought into the story and aren't just making up random twists which is good!

Alison said here that the girls "already know what happened that night....the four of them combined" I think that is what Alison referred to when she told Hanna to remember from this.

At 0:47-0:50 should've been a dead giveaway that this was not a dream or hallucination because as soon as someone made the noise off-screen like a door opening, Alison turned her head to look and watch to make sure no one was coming. She did this while Hanna had her eyes closed. Subtle, but a powerful nod to the theory of her never really being dead.

Oh, and in case none of you know, Sasha Pieterse(Alison) stated in an interview to pay close attention to Alison's bedroom in The First Secret. If you do, you can clearly see that there's a picture frame of Alison, Jason, and (possibly) Courtney, Alison's twin.

I think this may be relevant because she taught Hanna at the hospital the importance of a really good lie. Maybe on the Halloween episode she was telling Hanna that NOW, more than ever, is the time to come up with that really good lie!! She needed them to lie to Ezra!

What Hanna was supposed to remember was when Alison said "When you tell the truth to the wrong person at the wrong time it can get you where i am now" Meaning that she told someone the truth and they're holding it against her

If you notice at the end of the Halloween episode, when Ezra came to return Aria's phone, the hand that Spencer cut when "A" was attacking her is in his pocket.

I think by her saying "go ahead tell the truth" she means once they figure out it's Ezra, Aria isn't going to believe them and it's going to wreck everything. They think finding out who A is will fix everything but it wont. It will tear them apart. They'll hate Ezra for everything, so will Aria but she'll also be confused cause she loves him. It'll stur up more trouble. So she's better off lying to Aria while getting the proof it's Ezra.

When asked about the night at the barn, ali tells her "You already know, the 4 of you combined. You remember more than you think you do." She is telling them to try and remember the barn night again. Remembering things they have forgotten is the only way for them to know who A is.

sounds good! Ali told them that hannah has to remember what Ali told her at the hospital . It could really be that Sentence. Or it could be "You remember more of that night than you think you do." I think this could also be a good hint. I am really exited and I am reeaalllly happy that Ali is really alive :))

Like everyone else, I came from the halloween episode tonight. I still don't understand the secret meaning behind Ali and Hanna's conversation...but I'm so happy that Ali is alive!!!

I think I figured it out! I think Hanna and Ali are somehow twins.... I mean it makes sense, all the twin hints in the earlier seasons and the way she said, I had to make sure you were all right...They look so much alike too.

Same here! I don't understand what people aren't getting. Ali basically told Hanna that if they all get together (which I don't understand why the girls haven't already done this) and tell their version of everything that happened that night. They will solve everything!

when courtney was walking in the wood after the fight with spencer, the real alison was looking for her and when she saw her, she killed her. and yeah, there was something in the twins that jessica dilaurentis knew, and is that courtney had a heart-shaped face and alison has the face probably like aria

Someone to agree with me! Finally! My friends are all like "no, he is A! Ali basically says so!" Well Ali is also the girl who claims that you are always better off with a really good lie, so I wouldnt be jumping right into trusting her again. I'm so glad the TV series is going in a different direction than the books. Gives the people who read the books even more of a story to follow!

The whole "four of you combined know more than you think you do" doesn't make any sense after season 4 Ali drugged these girls and they were asleep the whole time she was scheming trying to figure out who A was except for spencer. And if she cared so much about them why tf does she keep playing games with them and dodging questions like girl.

I think she meant spencer because in some of the old episodes they said alison was the most afraid of spencer because shes the only one who could figure out her tricks

I've always thought it was Aria, and the way she let Hanna's hand be replaced by a statue, then was the first to get kind of upset with Alison after not seeing her in years and asked all the question, when everybody else was speechless EVEN SPENCER made me think it even more. Not to mention that after everything else they might be in love with the same man/pedophile. I love Ezra (or used to) but If he did try to kill Ali I don't think it would've been because she was preg. He loved being a dad.

I came here because I can't remember what Alison said to Hanna. That episode was like... years ago. Too bad the next episode will be aired next year. We have to wait for 2 months. But this halloween episode was worth the wait.
