I love how you didn't do what most reviewers do: praise the latest iPhone/Galaxy S Ultra, call the OnePlus 12's camera "mediocre" or "meh", and talk bad about OxygenOS.
You are one of the few Tech RU-vidrs who actually gave credit to the OnePlus 12 cameras. As someone who uses the S24 Ultra and OnePlus 12, the OnePlus 12 takes better photos. Even with the recent software update, I have not seen much improvement with the S24 Ultra photo quality. The one area where I would like OnePlus to improve on is video. This is where the competition has the advantage over OnePlus.
@@iamearthbeingon the 12R at least for me, the curved screen literally never got in the way of anything i was trying to do. But it varies for everyone and the only way to find out is to go to a store and try it out for yourself.
@iamearthbeing Compared to the S24 Ultra, the video during the day is not too bad, but I do notice more lens flaring and this could be due to the rounded camera design as it is reflective in sunlight. Another issue I have is you cannot switch between lenses when shooting 4K 60 FPS video like the S34 Ultra. In medium to low light conditions, the OnePlus tends to have more noise as a result of oversharpening. Granted, the S24 Ultra also struggle with video noise in low light, but it seems to be more noticeable on the OnePlus 12. As for the curved display, it does not bother me as much since I have owned older Galaxy phones with curved displays.
What I love about my 12 is the battery life, how fast it responds, and how it feels to hold it (even with a case). It is a bargain at the price (especially the pre-order time I did).
Four years is long enough for me for updates. I can't believe how much better phones are now than they were four years ago. Money well spent and with IR capability, this can spend its retirement as a remote.
I've been using my OnePlus 12 since its release and it's an amazing device. In fact, the Google pixel 8 Pro was never a consideration. The tensor chipsets are a total deal killer.
@@dr.fitprofessor4363 I noticed that it's more vibrant than the regular mode. I shoot a lot of pics inside casinos, where there's a lot of lighting challenges, and it really brings each scene to life. Where I see a huge difference, vs my P8P and s24+, is being able to capture different colors (reds and greens) in neon signs. My s24+ and P8P blow the lights out to the extent that you cannot even tell the colors. Maybe that's the beauty of the hasselblad color reproduction?
It is a great and honest review. This is the first time I have come across a reviewer who gives full credit to this amazing yet underrated device. Well done!
Orbit, I've been watching your channel since the beginning few videos, and even now I'd still think it's early days for you. I know this channel will go far, I'm rooting for you.
Thank you for your honest review ❤❤❤..every single popular youtuber is in the pocket of Samsung, iPhone , Google.. that's why they always miss lead 😔😔 i try iPhone both s24u and OnePlus 12 side side ,,it takes really better photos than s24u .. but in india every youtuber makes Samsung god😢👑
Stop lying. iPhone 15 Pro Max takes much better photos than oneplus 12. But oneplus 12 is not far behind iPhone 15 Pro Max in camera. If iPhone 15 Pro Max is 10/10 than one plus is 8.5/10 in camera. I use one Plus 12 and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Hi, I'm also gonna be ordering one soon. I'd like your opinion on the black vs green color? Personally I would prefer the black one with the design and texture of the green one. I think I might go for the green
I easily navigate to the OnePlus ecosystem, even though it's not the largest in terms of products. I also find the design beautiful; still undecided between black or green (probably black). Great review!
I would suggest going with the green one. I have seen both side by side and I would say that the green one looks way better. My personal favorite color though is white but it is not available in Europe or the US.
so, it is so evidentsthat i have mae a gigantic mistake at this stage after i had selected oneplus 12 R over samsung s23 fe which had no doubt better cameras than this phone. let it be known that i had waited 4 years for this upgrade which was not much but I guess, you dont get what you really want in life
Great video, I got rid of my iphone 15 pro max in favour of this, after 4 years on apple, glad to move back to android and this phone is just amazing - as for the cameras, I have taken better pictures with this over the iphone

Brilliant review, thank you. Pretty much decided on my upgrade from my OnePlus 8. Is the software good, I mean not Oppo-esque ? ( Have kept my Op-8 on Android 11 for that reason). Hello from Australia, John !
I upgraded from a 8 pro and was worried that maybe I paid too much. After a day of using this phone, this was the best tech product I've spent money on in years. Clearly an upgrade and makes me glad that One Plus has found its mojo again and is sticking it to those who pay hundreds more.
Love my oneplus 12, I want to add a second phone should I go for a pixel 8 pro or S24 Ultra? I thought maybe thr galaxy would be redundant to the OnePlus but its a hell of a phone
when oneplus 13 and newer oneplus devices come out, who will wait 4 years for android upgrade? Rarely, people change their phones already after a month, and where there is a 7-year wait, that sounds a bit funny with so many years of Android upgrades.
Everyone was raving when curved edge screens appeared way back when. Now everything needs to be flat. Sort of the opposite when people said the world was flat and smart people told them it was actually curved, lol. I love the curved edge screen provides a smoother side edge and more comfortable to hold with one hand. Never really experienced an issue with my OP 9pro or OP11 operating with the curved edge. My 2 cents.
I couldn't help but notice you still had your OnePlus 8 Pro! Would you consider comparing it to the OnePlus 12, to show how far its come/how much of an upgrade it is? (The 8 Pro was their peak imo and it's still my daily driver atm)
The perfect phone or close to it. Amazing display, even better specs than Samsung 24 ultra. You get so much with a amazing price compared to iPhone and Samsung. For me this is phone of the year. When it comes to screen on time I always get over 10 hours no matter how much I use the phone
Here in my country this phone pretty dem cheap priced at $630 for 12/256GB model, if only they have option for flat display I definitely will order mine today
Better display, better haptics, better speaker, better display calibration, one step above hardway, fit and finish. OnePlus is all-round. Vivo is solely for camera.
Just got this + watch 2 + buds 3 all for $1017 including tax. Crazy price for sure. Definitely not gonna. Miss my s23u which sadly i killed while water rafting 😂

Thank you they have been doing it for years because some of those companies they get money from and nobody want to speak the true OnePlus camera system is being great since it has a collaboration with hasselblad You can't beat something that is being calibrated and I bet you if Samsung or Google or Apple does the same collaboration with some company oh they're going to say oh it's the greatest thing on earth now wow
@@louischase994 I'm not gonna own it for that long it's more of a peace of mind plus I'll get it on a deal and that takes couple of month to gets my hands on so the first year of updates is gone, 4 to 5 years is ideal and btw I still happily own an LG V60 and it was released in 2020 I wanted an upgrade but couldn't find anything to replace what I have
