Another 30's Terrytoon that made it to the TV package but had two scenes cut(Phillip Scheib conducting the orchestra at the beginning and the bit where the mice order two "hot milks".)
Interestingly enough the French reissue inserts in a intertitle when the mice are ordering.... Not common at all in sound cartoons. I wonder if the original English release actually had that in place too.
+Oh no, gloop! anyways, the CBS edits that they did to earlier Terrytoons already look stupid now that I have seen what these Terrytoons originally looked like. Spitting and squeezing udders doesn't sound too jaunty unless you consider those anti-religious and graphic to children... Now, I think the last thing CBS cut out of the 1930's Terrytoons was the dancing skeletons in Indian Pudding.... By the way, you're really doing a good job uploading these rare surviving copies of Terrytoons from the ARTE channel! They thankfully saved some lost wonders like "Pudgy and the Lost Kitten"...
Nope either. The only Terrytoons that have ever survived from Jacques Haik's redistribution line into Lobster Films are the ones that came from exactly 1930.
Hammerson (the one who recorded the terrytoons you see) also has Cartoon Factory's transfer of Salt Water Taffy too, but Uncutcartoons247 hasn't uploaded it yet for reasons unknown.
