In my view. Your best video so far! Many people are doing / trying all the tips from many RU-vid videos. But I am sure many watch a video then go and try it that way. I do. And we have seen many video's about the pillows etc. But we all have different machines and we have to adjust things and try again and again until it's right. But they are NOT that many video's like this that help us over come some of the problems we all get. So thank-you for this video.

Angie, the heat press pillows on Amazon are of brownish cover instead of white. Would that affect the outcome once pressed, meaning turning shirt yellowish?

When I used to get press marks on blankets which shows even more than shirts, I would literally press the rest of the blanket and then no press marks. Years later, I found pressing pillows and Vapor foam. But even though it took extra time, it did compress all therefore making the press marks go while flattening all. Hope that makes sense.

You didn't exactly do the same thing all three times the first one you cut around close and didn't tear. Why didn't you show that method with the others? Is it because you get lines that way? Changing up things doesn't show that the foam and pressing pillows fix it. It just shows if the paper edges are tore and the paper is bigger than the shirt there is no lines.

My husband is driving me crazy. LOL. He wants to know why it has to be a certain size, ie smaller than the paper but bigger than the image. I don’t understand well enough either to explain to him why. It may be a dumb question, but why does it have to be a specific size? Thank you!
@AngieHolden

You want the entire image to be supported by the foam for a good press however you want the edges of the paper to hang off of the foam so it has less contact with the shirt so less chance of press lines.

Great video as always ... You could make a video using Easysubli paper on your EPSON printer ... my printer is the same as yours, however when I used easysubli on my printer the printing was not good, in fact it was very bad ... so my option was: First I just printed Easysubli on my shirt, and then I sublimated it on the easy paper that was on my shirt ... then it worked ... but printing directly on easysubli paper didn't work right ... if you can think about it it would be great ... thanks ... love your videos

The tape is the issue. Try a different brand of tape. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UrSdDvjQGNE.html

Could you put the protective paper inside the shirt, but the foam or pressing pillow underneath and get the same results?

That would probably be fine!

Thank you for all your great videos. I have a question on using Infusible ink on poly shirts. I get not only the lines, but white ghost Y background. I use Cricut heat press. Would heat pillows solve my problem? Thank you.

I am not understanding the ghost background issue? Are you using a white shirt?

Do you know what the difference of the grams on the sublimation paper makes? I see that Asub sells difference in grams
@AngieHolden
@AngieHolden 2 года назад
It is intended to be for the difference in your images and how much ink you are printing. I tend to stay with one.

Great video, Angie. Do heat press marks only show up if you're using the Cricut EP or do they show up in "regular" heat presses too?
@AngieHolden

Any heat press can leave them.

Can you use the Cricut mat as well? Will it still have the pressing lines?
@rose29angel
@rose29angel 3 года назад
I used the cricut mat today and still got those press lines. But I need to try the ripping technique and lighter pressure next time.
@AngieHolden
@AngieHolden 3 года назад
The issue with the Cricut mat is that it only comes in three sizes. Note what I said on sizing in the video.

Hi Angie, would you do a video on heat press pressure adjustment/settings? I purchased a Craft Pro and follow the instructions to test the pressure, but I’m getting lines from the top platen onto the poly shirt. I called them and they said I just had to keep trying and find the right pressure. Is 400 degrees/60 seconds the recommended setting for sub on either Cricut Easy Press and regular heat press? Thank you.

We are making sublimation mugs but the black lettering is running together and not legible. We have tried different fonts and sizes to no avail.... any suggestions?
@AngieHolden
@AngieHolden 2 года назад
if you are printing from Cricut Design Space, turn off bleed before printing.
@ricknelson3394
@ricknelson3394 2 года назад
@@AngieHolden I thought the bleed did the edges of the design and didn't affect the interior designing. We tried a zodiac cup and the words looked bunched, the crab had no definition. Will turning the bleed off affect the images and words?
@AngieHolden
@AngieHolden 2 года назад
It depends on how you have it designed but it can definitely cause what you are describing. I would turn it off for all sublimation projects anyway so give it a try with it off.

It is less noticeable but I try to use these steps for shirts with any poly content to be safe.

When using iron-on vinyl, is the only option to make sure the vinyl hangs over the pillow, because you can't tear the carrier sheet?
@AngieHolden
@AngieHolden 3 года назад
Correct. Only option is to use a pillow, foam, or mat under your design. Making the pillow larger than the design but smaller than the carrier sheet would be ideal in that situation.

Great video! Question when using the Cricut press mat in my swing heat press I am no no longer getting the pressing lines(TY) however it is changing the color of the shirt (making the grey a little lighter). I'm following the back of Asub paper recommendations of 400 for 35-40 sec. Any ideas on what would cause this?
@AngieHolden
@AngieHolden 2 года назад
Did you leave them sit a bit and see if the color came back? Or try washing them? You can also cover the ENTIRE area with butcher paper to see if that helps.

Can you use the Cricut heat press mats to accomplish the same results as the pressing pillows?

I haven't used them for that but they would probably work. The drawback is there are only three sizes. As stated in the video, the size is important.

The white cloth may be Teflon or just a polyester sloth. I am not sure what you are referencing as far as the beverage holder?
