These are all the neuromods you can get in Prey, not including fabricated ones. LET ME KNOW IF I MISSED ANY. This was done on the latest version of the game (1.07).

I have a comment you can use for timestamps and more detailed instructions.
Notes
▪︎ Make sure you get everything I get -not just the neuromods-, including codes, keycards etc They will be required sooner or later for other neuromods.
▪︎ At 12:16, the cost-effective method (v.1.11), is to use Leverage 3 on the unpowered door itself. This is 2 neuromods and several spare parts cheaper. It was different at the time of recording (v.1.07).
▪︎ Only 9 out of 173 require abilities to get (Hacking 2, 3 and Leverage 3). At 5:00, 10:16, 12:16 and 15:45.
▪︎ If you also want to fabricate neuromods, you should visit Halden Graves' office on your 2nd visit to the Neuromod Division. Inside, you'll find a fabrication plan and the only computer that enables unlimited fabrication of neuromods.
▪︎ You need 377 neuromods to get all abilities (218 for Human abilities, 159 for Typhon abilities).
▪︎ Some glitches may require you reload as they make neuromods unobtainable; Dahl's Cargo Hold may be empty. It seems to work normally if you deal with Dahl before Kaspar. The neuromods in Calvino's body also might disappear if you don't take them early on. And the neuromod at 50:55 glitched on me once and was stuck inside the floor (I could see it but not take it).
▪︎ For those of you who don't mind using glitches, there exists a duplication glitch that still works in 2024 (version 1.12) which allows you to fabricate an infinite number of neuromods ( • Prey Improved Infinite... ). However, it's pretty tricky and it takes a lot of time (50 seconds per neuromod if you're fast enough).

In the Neuromod Division, Volunteer Quarters there are several mentions of embezzled Neuromods. You can find a Neuromod in this area if you go past the break room, turn left in the hallway and begin to look up while moving forward. There is some sort of ceiling / light / something you can get above using the gloo gun to climb and you will find a Neuromod and alcohol.

@@ImaJunkyoBell I believe I know where your talking about. There is a post it note under a pillow that talks about this as well in the volunteer quarters. When I went up there I didn't find any neuromods, just a bunch if alcohol. Its right outside the volunteer bunk room door in that hallway above the ceiling tiles.

@@DJ-JGO I played through the game several times within the last month and am pretty sure I remember grabbing it like normal. It was the new version which I hadn't played before - Dalton's body with the destabilizer gun was in the new place nearer to the Arboretum. I also recall this ceiling area, similar to the neuromod underneath the storage closet in power plant, having an issue with items "sinking" into the floor texture and thus being "missable".

I know this video 2 two years old and I'm late but there is 3 nuromods for you in the sims lab in room D if you ace all the tests they wanted you to do at the start of the game.

I appreciate the job you did making this! I did want to point out a few that were missed though almost exclusively in talos I exterior. When you come out of the hardware labs take a left to the edge of the building, go around the corner and look up, at the top of hardware labs on the backside there is a red light with a maintenance hatch you can go in. Once in float all the way to the back to a supply crate on the wall with 1 neuromod. There are at least 2 other neuromods I've found in maintenance hatches usually with red lights above them in the exterior. I can provide more info if needed. Thanks

THANK YOU! I was almost certain there were more neuromods when I uploaded this but noone mentioned any. It's not surprising they were in the exterior given how massive and non-user-friendly it is. If you can make a short video clip to show me exactly where, starting from the Hardware Labs airlock as a point of reference, I'd appreciate it (Prey is uninstalled and I'm not gonna reinstall it just to look for that). I might even link it in the description for future viewers. Thanks again for the info.

@@babbisp1 I have never made a clip before. I will try to do this though. Your not wrong, the exterior is so convoluted to navigate that I often go in circles without realizing it lol. I did want to point out that your guide is the best one I've found and I really appreciate it! I constantly reference it to ensure I'm on track to get all neuromods. So thank you very much!

@@DJ-JGO Hey man can you tell me where those other 2 maintenance hatches are? *Edit:* I found one, but not sure if it's one of the two you meant. Near the corpse of Mariana Arias (where a qbeam is) is a maintenance access panel, with a supply crate close to it inside that has a neuromod. *Edit 2:* Found another one. Exit Shuttle Bay airlock towards the left. Go to the edge of the white wall thing, theres a white pipe under there somewhere with an access panel along it. Inside is a room with an electric machine that needs repairing and a supply crate nearby with a neuromod (bad description lol). Maybe those 2 neuromods were the ones you meant. *Edit 3:* I just noticed you said in your original comment "a few were missed *though almost exclusively* in the exterior". That implies that I also missed some more aside from the exterior, to your knowledge. Where else did I miss? *Edit 4:* Jesus, I found another one. I still dont know which two you meant. Exit Shuttle Bay airlock. Keep moving straightforwardd until you see a Golden Lion statue in the corner. Behind it is a bunch of metal stuff attached to a white block. On the rear end of the block is an entrance into it. Enter it. In its end you will find a supply crate with 1 neuromod. Edit: and another one found.

Just wanted to thank you. I know this is an old video but i decided to replay this game lol i do enjoy it lol i was going crazy looking for the room in Guts. I kept missing it. I found mods in a few locations up in the ceiling areas. Thanks again

First time playing the game. Knew about the hidden stuff so kept a close eye but I missed a ton. I spent a while looking around but no where enough. This is extremely helpful as the only real thing I'm using it for mostly is to get the upgrades that let me explore more.

Could've warned me about the weaver, cystoid, and technopath with an operator printer and nuclear waste bins all over in that zero gravity hallway in guts. That shit was really hard xD the Weaver flew right to his technopath buddy and they were double teaming me, while sending cystoids, corrupt operators, lightning blasts all while I was trying to avoid the nuclear waste. I reverted about 5 times to my quick save

By the way, I finished the game with about 15 neuromods in my pocket. Possibly because I did not activated any Typhoon powers or the psy ones. All in all really liked this game.

"First visit" means you can't get all neuromods/necessary items in that particular location on your first try so you'll need to backtrack sooner or later. You should visit the locations in the order that I visit them. And when you do visit a location you should do 3 things: 1) Collect every neuromod you can on that visit (obviously). 2) Collect every item besides neuromods that I showcase in the video (keycards, passwords etc). You will need them later in the guide for other neuromods. 3) You should complete every main story objective there is available at that location. Sometimes I stray outside the story so this step amounts to doing nothing.

@@babbisp1 Ah, thank you very much man. So its just like you need some tools or whatever to access certain neuromods and therefore you have to backtrack somehow. Hence Spawn the corpse in Neuromod devision, or, as I prefer, learn hacking 2 in the Lobby, then backtrack to NM Division. Thought there is some sort of story progression you have to do in order to "spawn" the Neuromods, but its more tied to the tools available I quess. On a side note: You can even make a good amount of Neuromods just in the beginning. I know, they are not direct Neuromods but in the end translate pretty straight forward to them. Exotic Material in Fabrication or in the very first Safe you encounter for example. ATM im trying to max. out NM gain. Would be interesting to make a guide on that too. Tho you are very rng dependend from Psy Kits since they give exotic material but spawn randomly in containers. Thanks for replying and have a nice day ;)

@@RujioWR Not sure if by "corpse" you mean December or Dahl. December will spawn in the Neuromod Division when you're about to enter Psychotronics and he calls you (see 13:51). Beyond that, you will need to save Igwe in the Exterior near Cargo Bay and stun (not kill!) Dahl when you find him. Sooner or later, Igwe will call you to go to the Neuromod Division and those neuromods on the table inside the surgery console will be available (57:23). I assume you were asking a question and hope that answered it.

@@RujioWR One more thing: you may wanna test this fabrication glitch. It appears to allow infinite materials to be created but I'm not sure if that's actually the glitch or if it works today (it's from 3 weeks ago). babbisp1 yes but not after the video, they did right after release of the game, after that Patalogtv guy started his “100%” walkthrough on PREY, i think you should do a couple 100% walkthroughs on the game, with abilities and all humans saved, and no abilities with humans killed.

NCR7 I haven't played this game in a long time and I don't think I had the power to do a 100% walkthrough, not even then. When I do 100% I want to make sure I'm actually collecting *everything* ans not just *a lot.* But the guides for this game are all messy and incomplete due to the game being so complex and affected by player choice so I couldn't trust myself to find it all with no confirmation in the end that I actually did it. Plus the video making process for that would have been exhausting. On a sidenote, if you like Dishonored as you said and you like 100% walkthroughs, then you will LOVE Zevik's videos on Dishonored. Search them, in case you don't know him already. Another recommendation: check out the Dishonored 2 "Ironman mode run" by TheGodfatherDictator. It's not a 100%, it's different but awesome in its own way. Truly one of the greatest runs of any game I've seen in terms of knowing the game. And for the record, I also want someone to do a 100% run of Prey, but as I said, I just can't do it myself.

NCR7 I feel ya man. My first playthrough of this game was complete shit. I spent 100 hours on it cuz i never knew what to do or if im making the right choice or where to find what collectibles? I felt ill. This was caused in large part, due to me trying desperately not to miss any missable trophies, which make up the majority of trophies in the game. Thankfully, it felt like an actual enjoyable game after the first 2 runs, lol.

@24:50 .... that keycard isnt there for me.... is it possible its under the rock?.. edit.. it was under the rock. and altho i couldnt lift the rock, i picked up something else, threw it at the rock, and that moved the rock just enough.

I cant jump like that and get up to where the body is in the hardware lab. There is no orange tool crate on that platform either. Dont know why.

I inserted the Grounding Resistor (47:49) to unlock the door from the Exterior's side. I get these neuromods when I revisit the Exterior (52:19). Note also that there is a known visual bug there. It shows more neuromods from the inside than there actually are in the room. Moreover, the neuromods you see from the inside can be seen even after you've actually collected them. So to summarize, putting the Grounding Resistor unlocks a room in the Exterior that has 2 neuromods. Gameplay-wise, that's all that matters.

i found a neuromod that you can only get to if u use mimic matter near a vent where u get a psi hypno in talos 1 exterior the vent is in the same room you find these neuromods 52:25. if u glitch out of the map (or into the map) u can find ur way to a prop neuromod thats meant to only be visible from inside the station. to find it you have to look for the same room that u found those 2 neuromods before and rub ur character against the wall with the door until the backface of that door becomes visible if u mimic matter ur way into that door u can collect an extra neuromod. (Sorry, late response) Haha yeah... You're not supposed to "imagine" it. There is actually a transcribe in the Arboretum that lets you know about them. It's a side mission with its own trophy/achievement (called "Black Market"). I doubt more than 10 people in the world opened a bell without the transcribe or the internet letting them know.

There are 173 neuromods in the video, plus 12 that I missed. You need 377 neuromods to get all abilities (218 for Human abilities, 159 for Typhon abilities). So you can't get all abilities on your 1st playthrough, unless (maybe) if you use all your resources to fabricate as many neuromods as possible. It would certainly be possible in your 2nd playthrough if you play New Game Plus. Obviously you could get ALL Typhon abilities in one playthrough according to these numbers.
