I LOVE these late 70s and early 80s episodes SO MUCH - we didn't get them on Pluto so seeing them here is a massive treat and when TPIR was really clicking at this point. The last weekly dark period rerun of season 9, after this episode the rest of that season became daily on GSN. With the original setup for Price on the schedule, that would mean about 70 episodes each from 4-6, 8-9, 11 and 15. Season 20 had double that amount (140? from Sep 1991-Apr 1992) as it aired on both Fridays and Saturdays
Well, we should get the VTR dates for the first 70 episodes of Daytime Year #11, with #4581D being the starting point for GSN as well in terms of that Daytime Year. The later stages of that said Daytime Year aired the first thing on weekday mornings and at 4am replacing Blockbusters and Password Plus with the latter moving to 3:30am.
It was June to Dec 1982 for 4581D to 4792D, the general consensus is that episodes are easier to track by their broadcast date or production number (The Barker Era’s method) than by the day of taping
@@Rewindium And the Home Viewer Showcases as well as Christmas week that year were taped out of order - I believe the HVS + reveal was taped November 1-3, 1982, while the Christmas week shows were taped October 18-20, 1982. Another thing to keep in mind is the wardrobe Gina has when she sits in the front next to the green TPIR seat covers during the 1982 portion of Season 11... while Bob, Johnny, and the models change clothing each episode, other staff members including Gina don't until the next taping day (since they tape two shows in one day).
@@IvoryM1986 That's on a Wednesday - Tuesday was when they reran the Season 9 episodes while Wednesdays was Season 11. And during the Dark Period they ran hour-long TPIRs twice a day on weekdays.
