I literally started freelancing for a friend of mine and people started to like my services on Instagram! Now I'm binge watching your videos to figure out how to use this to pay my university 🤣

Love that you’re now filming the podcasts. I can put it in the background while I’m busy and watch when I can. Double winner!

I am running short on words, how much your video helped me to understand how much I was underestimating my charges, my work, my time, my values 🙏 Thank you so much for these videos.

The hardest part for me to figure out! Especially since I'm a softy and too nice, but then I remembered I have bills to pay and need food to survive... It kinda makes sense that it will vary from client to client, you need that discussion with them to see where both of you stand

Hey Latasha! I found your channel a couple of weeks ago (I was actually looking for advice about sponsorships) and I love your channel! You should be getting more views and subscribers! Your content is extremely helpful. I hope one day you will blow up on RU-vid so more people can learn from you :)

I have recently switched to hourly and I love it. This way the client gets charged for only when I’m working and I don’t feel guilty if I’m not doing something for them. Also, if they decide they want a last-minute post about a promo they are running that’s fine, I just clock in to do it. Otherwise I felt like if I were charging monthly I would be overworked because they would be asking for too much. It also works better because then they can decide if they want to share and reply to comments on my posts. If they want to do it themselves then it doesn’t cost them anything. If they want me to do it then they have to pay for it. I do have a regular full-time job though so maybe this just works better for me because of that. I don’t need a guaranteed income but I like it because I feel like I’m getting paid for my time

I also feel like working with a client in the beginning takes so much more time because you have to get things set up. So once things are set up they can spend less or we can work on other material

Awesome, I'm glad it's working for you! I agree that it's more doable when you have a FT job. I did hourly work back then, too. Now that I'm full time in my business, retainers make more sense for me.

What if you get over the amount of clients you can take, and you get people wanting to buy. Do you just turn them down?

Hey everyone!!!! How do you guys choose your social media management business name? It’s such a small part of starting, but for me it feels so difficult. I can’t use my last name (it sounds so bad), and my first name is Tyler, and nothing involving Tyler sounds and looks good! Open to any and all suggestions guys! :)

What do you recommend charging hourly for my first client? I’m creating a proposal for my first client, and I already told them I would charge 15 dollars an hour, 10-20 hours a month. In my proposal I would be managing their Facebook, IG, creating a new twitter, tik tok, and youtube channel. I realized this is a lot to manage, and I would be potentially creating the content for this youtube channel, unless they would like to outsource videographer and editor. I’ve seen other SMM’s factor this into pricing with a certain price per video, or set up fees for new social account. How do I go about factoring this into my pricing if at all?

I think you should split up what you're offering and charge a package price. Otherwise, you'll have to track your time and feel forced to get all of your duties done in that window. :/ So, charge for video/editing. Charge for social media content creation and management. Charge for a profile creation and set up.
