Pride Flag PCB for Pride Month

@2:15: Yes, from what I can remember, three flags are non rectangular, Switzerland 🇨🇭 and Vatican City 🇻🇦 are square, and Nepal 🇳🇵 is two triangular pendants.

Personally I don't care what people identify with. I'm not in that flag but I respect everyone who is. Good video

I have to agree with the entire label thing at the end, I don’t tell people ‘I’m Gay’, I just love who I love, and live how I live, as far as I’m concerned, I’m Daniel, and that’s all that matters.

Great effort David! I know it can be quite annoying when people say "it's the thought that counts" but I do appreciate the thought and effort. And I hope other people will too! Btw... I'm not a flag expert (I'm not Sheldon ;)) but to answer your square flag question: I do know that the flag of Switzerland is a square flag.

Thank you so much for making this and for your thoughtful comments at the end. I grew up in the 70s and it was grim coming out but I have seen such progress that I could never have dreamed about. And now I'm retired and married. But it's still tough for some people and in many countries being gay carries the death penalty. Lots to celebrate and lots more to do. Happy Pride 😊🏳️‍🌈

Strip board is self explanatory, but the other is usually called perf broad, which is short for perforated board.

My wife and I hung a Pride flag from our house in Boston this month as Allies. Be who you are, love who you love. What's the big deal? Love your work!

Put a dab of hot-glue on each pad. Paint over the whole front of the board with your solder-mask. UV it to cure the solder-mask. Then, use some rubbing alcohol to loosen and remove the glue. I just thought this up, so be sure to test it first.

Nexttime maybe specify where the tracking number goes on the pcbs. I dont know if PCBway has this, but with jlc pcb it is possible to specify this

I see a resistor colour chart, missing grey and white.

Maybe it helps to use coloured LEDs where they are possible to buy in that color.

The rainbow is a symbol of hope, given by God. I still get a real feeling of childish excitement (in a good way) when I get a glimpse of the colours in the sky. When I see it in the sky on a pole, as a symbol, a flag, I feel that childlike wonder of the rainbow has been lost, used against its will. Politics. Time to give it back to nature, to our children, and get on with life, and move on. Let's just SOLDER on.

You may try masking off the solder pads and try some spray paint color. Easier to match and faster.

Hey David. Why don't you make a small badge to sell with LED's and a clip or pin to attach it.

An idea for next time: No copper area, leds that shine throuth the pcb and so produce colored light.

The fact that a third of the people disliked this video is exactly why that flag exists, why it flies down Main Street once a year, and why new colors are being added all the time. We're proud of who we are in the face of adversity. Keep hiding behind your hate and anonymity, we'll shout from the streets a message of love. No matter how many tubes of solder mask it takes.

Cool video, long time sub and tbh you can be gay, bi, straight, white, black or have 6 eyes and a pet unicorn.... Someone will always judge you no matter what or who you are in life. However letting that judgement have a impact on your life is where you need to be strong and believe in yourself. Nothing I have said is anyone's fault but we all have a responsibility to not let negative comments change who we are. Stand up for what you believe in. I do feel EVERYONE is entitled to a voice sadly this is slowly going away with many "hate crimes" you know the "you cant say that anymore" thing... but that is another story for another day. I HATE saying this as its used all over the place but its soo true... You do You / You be you (be who you want to be) sometimes life will challenge you with walls that you feel are impossible to get over but trust me you can ALWAYS smash through them it might take years and tears but things always work out if you don't give up. That's the main key NEVER give up on yourself....If you need a wee laugh and boost RU-vid: "A message for YOU " Best part: "You are number one - I don't know no two or three, but i know you're that one! Labels are needed for: peoples' agendas, division creation, $$$, control, etc. Sadly it will never leave us.

Lovely idea, David - well done! Although (sorry if it seems like I'm weeing on your chips!) the gay Pride flag only has six colours - red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple - for some daft reason. So you could have left off the black and brown ones and had the right colours and the right shape.
