@@eduardobraga7666 Bro Zakk is the best guitarist ever. Every work hes done is all just as good in its own way. Black Label Society is just as good. His Heavy metal and ballads are gold. Hes so diverse.
That sludge solo at the end still gives me the chills 30 years later, I remember being 13 when this came out and I just knew he was Ozzy's guitar player so I bought it and it's always been one of my favorite albums of all time, BLS just could never come close
Much as I like the stuff he's done with his Black Label Society, sometimes I wish he would have further explored this type of music he was doing with Pride and Glory...
Your not the only one! it isn't just an album to me,they Created a new genre IMO Southern Heavy Metal. i love BLS and Zakks solo stuff but want another album of PNG and a tour badly i still love this album and have every version of it including the japanese release! stay Heavy...
I saw Pride and Glory July 1994 Bristol UK one of the best live shows i have ever seen, it was a tiny venue and was boiling hot , there were people fainting, it was also the same day Brazil played Italy in the World cup final in the US.....
I love zakk's solo work, p&g, and black label. I do like his voice back then alot more than now. He had better range n was alot cleaner. Look how young he looks! Lol
Ironic because he was a runt when he joined Ozzy's band. Am I the only one who remembers that? Also he used to love fucking with Ozzy back then always trying to walk the fine line and push his buttons.
Just was blown away by ZAKK on the Generation Axe 2018 tour last month! Top 3 show ever! I still love the older shows , but he is still just a beast and showman!
Yeah and why bother? You see the cell phone videos on RU-vid and the audio quality is usually horrible. A few are "not too bad" most are awful, drums usually drowning out the singer and lead guitar either too loud or you can't hear it. Enjoy the concert, leave your phone in your pocket.
Just know that his voice in bls is suppose to be how it is to fit the heavy metal vocal sounds. Pride and glory is country metal so his vocals here are perfect for it. Its basically 2 different kinds of metal
Pride & Glory was Zakk at his ultimate top. Book of Shadows and Sonic Brew were great as well, but this was legendary. Unfortunately, most BLS albums after Sonic Brew were mediocre.
Dowsnr look like zakk between rhen n now but I like his old stuff much better he has fuckin talent unbelievable I would have paid to see him then. His music in bls is good but not like this come on
Him and Slash are about on the same level playing wise even though their styles are very different. News Flash - I'm lying, Slash is way better and could whip his ass onstage anytime if he wanted to...!
