UnsolicitedProject Have either of you seen the new show Vida on STARZ? Great LGBT+ representation, especially for people of colour. Plus it’s beautifully shot. P.S. It’s on the movie network channel in Canada, it is for me anyway.
Things keep colliding with Pride attendance opportunities for me. Like the one time there was one closer to me it landed on Father's Day weekend. ; wtf. Next year?? Maybe.
Never been to Pride but I always dreamed of going out and standing tall. But also the girlfriendless life. Need me a girl who likes to play video games, smoke the budz, and go to car meets.
Cyndog7 Here ooh no! pride is so much fun. you should definitely go or maybe you can find someone who is coming with you. it‘s not just for lgbt people, it‘s a big party for everyone
Believe me I though the same so I missed out on going and now I finally went joining a group of girls that I didn‘t know too well and made my weekend living hell! It could have been amazing! But instead I went with someone elses car so I was stuck with them. Never able to move aroud cause they seemed ro know eeverybody (except anyone I would want to talk ro) and completely got any chance ruined to hit at someone lol Next year I’m go alone for sure and enjoy myself!!!
been on pride single. in a relationship but went with friends, and feels like this year we'll go together. I'm sure each represents a whole different experience
Married and went to Oxford Pride last weekend. Last year we missed it because we were in USA. It was fun and great to meet up with friends who I haven't seen for a long time.
Going to Boston pride with my girlfriend this Saturday and it’s my first one that I’ve felt comfortable enough to go to and I’m so excited:). Love you guys!
First pride in Toronto with my girlfriend of 2 years and I'm pumped! We're going to 2 lesbian parties on Friday and Saturday AND THEN the parade but truly I'm only going on Sunday to fangirl over the cast of Schitt's Creek YASSS
haha, wish I could help, but this is gonna be my first pride period, so can't help much I'm afraid Edit: if anyone knows more info though, please do share
I’m in a new city for Pride this year - Paris, France! My options are either going alone, going with my friend and being a third wheel (she has a girlfriend), or taking my straight friend. I’m not sure which option is least sad - advice/friends welcome!
I haven't experienced any of this during the 4 years that I've gone to Pride. Last time I went, I saw a girl at a bar that I thought was cute, complimented her blink-182 tattoo and asked her if she wanted to dance. She strangely responded by asking me if English was my first language and then shot me down. What a lovely night that was 🙃
I tried to go to pride last year with my friends but we got the date wrong and missed the parade. Hopefully if we can we'll go the right day this year and just hope that our parents don't make the connection that the parade is on the same day that we wanna "shop around the city"
I've always went to Pride with a straight friend so looked more like an ally. This year I'm going as a (hopefully) volunteer for a few hours and single!
Single at pride. Pro tip -- bring a puppy to the day events and you'll have girls constantly coming up to you. Ask them which bars they'll be going to that night and close the convo w/ "cool, maybe I'll see you there!" Meet up w/ them later and offer to buy drinks upon arrival.
Been single at pride for last 2 years but hey, I go with friends and have a blast and meet great people, but I will not succumb to the desperation look to find a girl because if that's not who I am the rest of the year, why would I be on that specific day? If I meet a girl (which I do of course), she'll see me for who I am and that's it. If not, my friends and I are going for Poutine after and Poutine is the best so...
I have real bad social anxiety so I’m just that weirdo in the back with sunglasses on. Having a panic attack because all the cute girls say hi to me XD
I’m gonna be going to Pride for the first time! I’ll be single but taking my best friend so people might think we’re a couple idk I’m just really excited
The most single. The last few prides I'm just walking around stag like werido and randomly make friends with people because I can hold a conversation with a door knob.
Tamy St. Your despair in finding a date is soooooooooo me😂 Almost every day I have to pull myself together so as not to shout "I'm gay, please date me" Also I can't go to pride this year😭😭😭
single at pride. I have to say never been propositioned ever when I have gone to pride before, which is good because either way sounded creepy. I'm still unsure if I'll go to pride this year. Thinking about it :)
