Wanderlei in his prime was absolutely devastating. Prides middle weight champion with a record 16 fight unbeaten streak. Losing finally to Mark hunt who weighed 70 pounds more than Silva in the fight (Special rules fight). One of the longest reigning champions in MMA history, legendary status.

Wanderlei Silva is without question my fav fighter all time. He was devastating taking on anyone anytime. His fights were always entertaining win or lose he came to kill or be killed.

@Não, sakuraba era um lutador totalmente fora da curva também, tinha ganho de 7 brasileiros antes do Wanderley, os gracies não eram brabos? Que isso irmão., está diminuindo um pra exaltar o outro.

@@willian6335 oh, amigo, não falei que os gracies não eram brabos, só que eram mais leves. O unico Gracie pesado que Sakuraba derrotou foi o Ryan. Depois que ele cpmeçou a pegar caras mais agressivos como o cachorro louco que ele começou a tomar prejuízo. Não tiro o mérito dos gracies, principalmente o Royce que mudou a historia das artes marciais pra mim

Depois de virar cachasco dos brasileiros, encontrou no cachorro louco o inicio do fim da carreira, foram duas vitorias arrasadoras, o louco manteve a calma e agiu na hora certa, essa foi clássica, um dois, jab direto, lona, apagou a luz, dormiu.

I think it’s actually cool that you mentioned that because I literally just read an article about this the other day. Sakuraba just didn’t care. If anything, I I think he actually kind of enjoyed that. Meaning he actually wanted the hardest fight. I know at one point he even tried to go and lobby for a fight against Fedor. He eventually turned it down, but that would’ve been fucking crazy. Dude just flat out had balls of steel.

The only time in his career that he threw straight punches. I watched this in Japan live on regular tv. Pride destroyed Sakuraba. They kept feeding him to guys like Vovchanchin, and Silva, getting his brain rattled. After this third beating by Silva he was a shell of the Gracie Killer.

What makes Sakuraba GREAT he feared no one he stands toe to toe with the most ROIDED version of Silva and takes his hardest shots yet can submit Gracie's. He could challenge Prime Tyson with no fear.

Problema do Pride era o valia tudo mesmo é desumano levar chutão na cabeça mesmo estando no chão, por isso os Gracie criaram o UFC com bons prêmios era certo a migração do pessoal.
