@@mariovitorlauande2706 Agreed. I’m an American and went to a UFC fight in North Carolina. It was like a crowd of drunk cavemen and women. Whenever the fight would go to the ground and the fighter on top would try to advance his position in order to either land ground and pound or submission plus the guy on the bottom is working to either submit off his back, defend against submission, defend from ground & pound or try to get to his feet (Its like a quick chess match to me) the crowd just started booing. Or when they would grapple they would boo. I was thinking 🤔 “Do these idiots not realize this is “MIXED” Martial Arts?? If you wanna see people try to knock each other’s head off the entire time then go to your local tough man competition ffs which that’s the type of show 90% of that crowd should go to instead of paying tickets to watch a professional MMA match. People in the crowd had no respect for the fighters, the sport, or each other. We saw 4 fights break out in the crowd. I’ll never go to one in the USA again. I know people find the BJJ, Wrestling, etc boring but don’t be a jackass and boo the fighters for fighting in the different disciplines of martial arts. I’m a country boy. I grew up on a tobacco farm and was taught to have self respect, respect for others no mattter what ethnicity or gender and to have common courtesy. Common courtesy sure as hell is not very common. Lots of the people in that crowd were US military because the show was being held not that far from Fort Bragg. These people were probably the most disrespectful undisciplined lot of the crowd. Anyways, I have a lot respect for the Japanese people. The way they carry themselves and interact with others. I’d love to visit Japan one day.

Shogun was an absolute beast in Pride. So much stronger and more explosive. He must've been taking some good PEDs. Jackson on the other hand looks and fights the same. Probably one of the few fighters who didn't 'juice' in Pride.
@dreamsofcosmicoceans8105
@dreamsofcosmicoceans8105 Год назад
False narrative. Rampage DID change the way he fights. He went from a guy who used to be grapple heavy to a guy who fell in love with his hands. It's a tale as old as the first wrestler that got the KO bug. Then all of a sudden, he got tired of facing grapplers. As for Shogun, him no longer being strong and explosive probably has a lot to do with the knee surgeries he's had for having a knee/kick heavy game.
@Joseph-lz5er
@Joseph-lz5er Год назад
@@dreamsofcosmicoceans8105 You didn't watch Shogun's first fight in the UFC? He was only 28 years in his first fight there. He completely gassed and zero explosivness whatsoever. He literally had to rely on his heavy hands and nothing. Both Mark Coleman (42 year old at that time) and Forest Griffin tired him out.🤦‍♂️
@Joseph-lz5er
@Joseph-lz5er Год назад
@@dreamsofcosmicoceans8105 In Pride, he had wars against Silva, Liddell 1, Randleman, and no, he was not grapple heavy. He relied a lot on his left hook and overhand right. Watch his fights. He fought against grapplers and thus he had to adjust to the ground, e.g when he fought Sakuraba and Arona. And in Pride, grappling was more accepted than UFC and so he grappled more but he was without a doubt a striker as well.

As a PRIDE fan since early 2000, Rampage confirmed after the fight that his rib got broken by Shogun during the fight. At 1:25 - 1:33, one of Shogun's thai clinch knees breaks Rampage's rib. At 2:06, you can see Rampage look at his left rib. At 3:51, Rampage is covering his left rib from getting kneed. At 4:32, Rampage tells his team/corner that his rib is broken. At 5:20, Rampage tells the referee about his broken rib.
